Vehicle Detail
VIN #. 9110123133. ENGINE#. 6108729 PAINT CODE# 1313 Bahia Red HISTORY Car was bought new at Westwood Porsche-Audi in Los Angeles, California on May 23, 1970. It spent all of its time in California with the original "Blue Plate" assigned to the car and on the clear CA title. Purchased by a University professor. The next owner after the Professor had the car for over 20 years. He took very nice care of the car. Keeping it very original. CONDITION The car shows very well with a nice paint job. The painting is fairly new and was done about 5 years ago by a professional shop. Shows no signs of dents, major scratches or stone chips. The Bahia Red was offered by Porsche for only 4 years and is painted the correct color code. The car had the windows, trim and gaskets removed for the painting. There is no rust anywhere and no prior accidents. All body panels, hood, and bumpers are factory original. Tires are mounted on factory chrome steel wheels with the original chrome hub cabs. The doors close with the Porsche "ping" sound and it has new gaskets installed in the trunk area, windows, door jams, and body panels. The car runs very strong with no signs of smoke. The engine is very clean and leaks little or no oil. The engine has been rebuilt within 5 years ago or 5,000 miles on rebuild and is a matching engine. The carbs are factory Zenith 40 TIN and have been rebuilt within 1 year. The clutch and transmission work good. The car is fitted with Koni shocks. It's a very special car with a lot of merit and true to orginal condition. Interior is original dash, seats, panels and trim. The carpet is new and so is the headliner. Car came with a radio delete but still has the radio antenna as a factory option, but owners never installed a radio. I recommend a PPI inspection or visit the car in person. I am fair and honest, being a private owner with too many cars and not enough storage. I bought this car for my collection with plans to keep the car. A dealer would ask much more for this great example of a classic car. I can think of only one change to the car and it's the air cleaners are not factory. The car is not perfect but shows very well and drives great. The seats are original factory vinyl with headrest and rear seats are excellent. TERMS Car is sold as is where is with no warranty. Seller reserves the right to end the auction at anytime. A deposit of $1,000 must be paid within 48 hours of auction ending and is NOT refundable. The balance must be sent by bank wire transfer In 7 days before the title is released. The car has a clear California title. The above statements are true to the best of the sellers knowledge but is not quanteed to be factual. I can help in getting the car to shippers but the costs and getting the shippers is the buyers responsibility. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS CAR IS AN ORIGINAL CAR NOT RESTORED. SO MANY ITEMS ON THE CAR ARE 42 YEARS OLD. USUALLY ORIGINAL CARS CAN BRING A BETTER INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY.
