1965 Datsun Fairlady 1500 Roadster SPL310 dual carb model . Caught between the last of the 310's and the newer short window 311's; one of only 1100 ever built, this Sora blue beauty has a lot of potential. Originally the Sora Blue (#563) with Red interior. It has been completely disassembled for restoration - Frame has been powder coated, suspention bead blasted, The no hit body has been competely sanded and is pretty solid except for some rust in the usual areas at the base of the front fenders. It has the original 1500cc G15 motor with the dual carb option, original 4 speed trans, original interior parts, original wheels with new tires installed. Best estimates are that only about 1100 Datsun 1500 were ever built between July 1964 and January 1965 based on VIN # sequence. Perhaps lower due to the fact that not every possible number made it thru the assembly line. Moreover, of those 1100 cars, only a percentage of them actually made it to the US shores. You can imagine, some 50 years later, there is not many left... making this an even more RARE vehicle.
