This is a 1964 Datsun L320 Pick-up Truck, with its original 4-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual transmission (on the column!). Overall the truck is very solid. The truck runs and drives and stops. I recently installed a brand new carburetor but I have the original as well. The transmission shifts well and the clutch feels good, even with the 4-speed on the column I have no problem getting into any of the gears. The engine has good compression. I have never registered the truck but I’ve driven it around the neighborhood. The frame is very solid with just some surface rust. The front clip, roof, firewall, doors, and truck bed are very solid. The truck had one repaint over the years, and it’s currently faded with some light surface corrosion in areas. The only area with some rust is in the outer rockers. The passenger side is a little worse because the outer rocker down low scraped against a rock at some point. Inside the bed has surface rust but not a single hole anywhere. The floor pans have some surface rust but again no holes. The tailgate is super solid, all the glass is in good shape, and the interior is in decent shape. (Has an aftermarket seat cover on right now.) I have the original air cleaner but it doesn't fit on the new car., so it will need an aftermarket air cleaner.Because I have never done a full inspection on the brakes, I would recommend the truck be trailered by the buyer. Plus some of the tires are dry from age. Overall the truck is very complete and solid. This could make a great driver or an easy restoration. The truck is sold with a CT Bill of Sale and a previous RI registration. (CT and RI don’t hold titles on antique vehicles.) Truck is sold as is, reserve is confidential but very low.
