Vehicle Detail
1964 VW Karmann Ghia coupe, low original miles 79,389. Here we have a very solid one owner Karmann Ghia coupe that originally was sold in Arizona that is a running driving car but it will need work to be a daily driver or reliable weekend driver. It is a very solid Ghia with no rust in the pans or battery box, the only rust is in the parcel tray below the rear window where the window seals leaked. The car has the original radio, steering wheel, door cards etc.The car has dealer installed air conditioning but it is missing the compressor. The nose is very clean except a dent by the drivers side blinker. The car was converted to 12V before I got it and has a 12V flywheel and I just installed a brand new lifetime warranty 12V starter and a 12V battery. The wiring will need some work to make all the gauges and lights work. The brakes where done not that long ago and stop very well but should be checked before using the car. The front seats were covered by blankets when I bought it and I removed them to reveal the OG seat covers. The tires are Michelin XZX's that are in good shape. The car was hit in the rear at some point and a new rear clip and apron was installed to a high level for back in the day but will need some attention to really bring this car back to it full glory. I removed the passenger seat to clean out interior but it is back in the car. The interior carpet was removed because it was dry rotted into dust. I am happy to answer any questions and take more pictures upon request. I had to cut the hole in the rear deck lid to access the latch because the cable broke, I kept the piece of metal so it can be welded back in. I took off the rear bumper to buff out the paint and two of the bolts broke so the bolts will need to be drilled out so the bumper can be re-installed. I reserve the right to end the auction early because the car is listed locally. Link to more pictures https://picasaweb.google.com/106084938717268921726...directlink
