Vehicle Detail
We have gotten great use out of this Honda Civic Hybrid. Most of the miles have been highway speed for a long commute and long trips. It has served us well. We're moving West and can only take one car. Our loss is your gain. Please note: This car is being sold as is! We've posted lots of pictures and we will try to fairly describe potential problems. Our descriptions are not based on professional expertise. We have merely tried to describe some of the potential challenges. It is your responsibility to accept all the risks of buying a used car. We recommend that you consider an independent inspection prior to bidding. The true mileage as of posting was 223,208 however we will continue to use the car until it is sold. Before our most recent trip to the gas station we had driven 500 miles and averaged 42.7 mpg. Over the past 3,249 miles, we've averaged 40.4 mpg. The car passed NJ Inspection and has valid registration through May, 2014. Problems: The A/C blows nice and cold but cuts off after a few miles, especially in hot weather. We've been told that it is probably the A/C clutch. Also, there is a noise that we have not identified. It sounds like tire noise from the front of the car but it will need to be diagnosed. There are numerous dents, dings and pings especially to the front hood. The Honda "H" is missing from the front. The headlight lenses are hazy, especially the passenger headlight lens. Also, the paint has peeled from part of the base of the Passenger side mirror. Finally, there are stains to the front seats and the drivers sun visor and the roof liner in the front. We've tried to show the cosmetic problems in the pictures but remember this is a car with over 200,000 miles. Potential problems: Service engine light comes on and off. (Currently it is on.) In the past, the service codes have indicated that there maybe issues with the O2 sensors or the catalytic converter. Note: The car has its original battery, CVT transmission, shocks and suspension. An initial payment of $500 is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. PAYPAL is our preferred method for this payment. The winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of the end of the auction and make payment arrangements for the balance at that time. The car must be picked up no later than October 4th. On Sep-25-12 at 21:16:42 PDT, seller added the following information: By the way, this vehicle has an installed uHaul Hitch Model 24706 which we used for a hitch mounted bicycle rack. Also, the car needs to be picked up on or before Tuesday, October 12.
