1969 Plymouth GTX Convertible 440ci 4-Speed - PW - Broadcast Sheets You are bidding on a 1969 Plymouth GTX convertible with 51,053 miles showing, VIN RS27L9G301246. It is R6 Scorch Red with White/Tan Premium Vinyl and T7 Dark Bronze interior trim. It has a 375hp 440ci 4-bbl high performance V8 and a 4-speed manual. Some options according to the broadcast sheet include light package, Track Pak with 3.54 axle ratio, HD 11” drum brakes with manual adjust, console with woodgrain panel, bucket seats, Sure Grip axle, remote left standard mirror, heater, glove box lock, cigar lighter, 3-speed wipers, dual horns, map light, glove box light, ash receiver light, trunk lamp, hood/fender mounted turn signals, ignition switch lamp with time delay, headlamp ‘on’ buzzer, belt moldings, 7-blade torque drive fan, power windows, AM radio, hemi suspension with sway bar, firm ride shocks, power steering, lower half horn ring, red line tires, mono-tone paint treatment, black power convertible top, longitudinal stripe delete and road wheels. This GTX was purchased out of the south as a survivor car and it still retains its original sheet metal, as seen by the pictures of the number stampings in the panels. It was then given a fresh paint job and detailing. The owner removed the fender tag and kept it in safe keeping because this is such a rare and unique GTX that he didn’t want anything to happen to it while at a show. We have the original broadcast sheet and fender tag. It still retains its original engine but the transmission was replaced with a factory unit sometime in the past. There were only 178 4-speed’s built in 1969. Of those 178, 11 were painted R6 Red and of those, 2 had power windows. So this is a very rare piece and it has the documentation to prove it.
