1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 with the 4.0L 6cyl engine and 4 speed auto transmission. The engine runs great and transmission shifts fine. It has 205k miles but these trucks are known for lasting a long time and routinely pass 300k miles. It has many new or recent parts including exhaust, brakes, starter, fuel pump drive shaft u-joints, and some brake lines. It had the head gasket replaced at 180k miles and the head was also rebuilt at this time. The rear tires are almost new with 90% of the tread remaining. The front tires are about 3 years old with 50% tread left. The truck runs very well and doesn't smoke. It recently passed inspection and is good until Jan 2014. It does have a few minor problems that should be addressed but it drives great and is currently being used as a daily driver. Known issues: There is a crack in the windshield. We have been driving it this way for over a year, but it probably should be replaced. The A/C does work when its charged but it has a leak and will only last a few weeks on a recharge. The front U-joints should be replaced if you plan to use the 4WD. This truck can be seen in person in Hampton NJ off Rt 31 or in the New Brunswick/Piscataway area.
