Vehicle Detail
VIN: 4742902074 Early 74 Exterior: L20E Signal Orange Interior: Tan/black I bought this car from a gentleman in Bend, OR and he had to sell it as he was moving to the east coast. I went through the car and fixed a couple items and have driven it the last couple months as a daily driver; so I can accurately report the condition of the car. I would like to keep the car but have another ’74 2.0L that I am too attached to. Questions beyond what is listed below call/text Ryan @ 503.702.9276 The Good in no particular order: Bad to follow This is a very original Solid early 1974 914 Porsche 2.0L with factory FI (see pictures and video) Motor is very strong (guessing it has been rebuilt at some point) No oil on ground when parked overnight. When you look at the motor it appears there is a small amount of seepage accumulating around a pushrod or two. Clutch is good and strong All components of FI are there and work. Including TPS, MPS, HTS, Decel valve New Fuel Pump! Instrument Cluster silver button early ‘74/Center Console: All ORIGINAL and works including: E-Brake warning light (blinks red when e-brake applied), VDO clock, VDO Oil Temp Gauge, VDO Volt Gauge. Lights/switches/dash ALL WORK including: Head lights, Marker, Signal, Wipers, Brights, Brake, Back up, Driving/fog, hazard/warning, cigarette lighter, defrost, radio (4 speakers) Brakes look to have been rebuilt somewhat recently. It stops very nicely and the e-bake holds strong on a hill. Tires: All matching and 90% tread (see pictures) Paint: been repainted original L20E and it looks good! Glass: All original marked VW Battery has been moved to rear trunk Battery was purchased Feb/2012 (Almost NEW!)I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability SOLD "AS IS" "Where Is" No Warranty. Buyer is responsible for all transportation costs. On Sep-13-12 at 10:18:44 PDT, seller added the following information: The Bad: (all reflected in the Buy It Now price) Rust in “Hell Hole” has been fixed; prior rust damage to passenger side trailing arm attachment area (has been welded up and no problems) I want to be as honest as possible (remember others may not be and very few 914’s have perfect battery areas unless they have been repaired.) Small dent on driver side by signal and marker light. Odometer does not work (common and can be fixed). (speedo does work though) Outside door locks (no key for these) (garaged, so never cared) (key works in ignition and interior front trunk lock.) Couple rock chips on windshield. Can be filled and are not spreading. Original VW glass! Transmission synchro 1st and 2nd gear have some wear. 1st gear you need to be almost completely stopped to put in without resistance. 2nd gear you need to be nice to until gearbox is warmed up (5 min or so). Very few 914’s have perfect transmissions. This transmission is in good shape, not perfect. On Sep-13-12 at 11:02:29 PDT, seller added the following information:
