1963 Rambler American 440. Trim Code: Body 022067, Model 6309-5, Trim 322-C, Paint 43-72 Engine 196 OHV, Single Carburetor, 5 new Tires New Battery Easy Starter 4 Extra hubcaps Oil looks nice and clean Trans Fluid looks nice and clean 45352 Original Actual miles (I'm currently driving it a few miles back and forth to work so I'm guessing it will have 45400 by the end of the auction) The seat on the driver side and the rear pillar are in need of some repairs. I have found a company that has original fabric and have a couple Old Stock sample swatches that are an exact match. (Included with the sale) This is a fun car to drive and would make a great restoration, daily driver or street rod project. The car is in running and driving condition but needs minor mechanical and interior repairs. It would be a easy restoration requiring paint and very minor rust repair or leave it alone and enjoy it for a while. There are a couple small rust areas on the passenger side and a dent on the lower part of the driver side door and fender. For what I can tell the car has been touched up in areas or repainted but there are no signs of repair to any damage. The underside of the car is in great shape and only has minor surface rust in a few areas. The brakes are in working condition but one of the wheel cylinders is tough. I have a new one in the box that is included with the sale. This car was owned and garaged buy a little old lady in La Crosse, WI. She bought it new and used it to pick up groceries and go to church. When she passed away she left it to her son. He lived in Michigan but stored the car in La Crosse for 15 years and would occasionally come back and drive it. Five years ago he sold it to a nice couple in La Crosse. I bought the car from them and had plans to restore it but currently have another Rambler Project that is taking up my time.
