FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER AT ANYTIME. WE CAN TALK VIA PHONE IF YOU PREFER. 1940 PLYMOUTH BUSINESS COUPE. Very cool original project or do a street rod, rat rod or gasser. No exterior rust and it's straight but does need floorpan work. Very complete car and has been parked since 1951. Plates were still on it when I bought it. From what I was told, the car was in one family since new until I bought it. Clear title. The car has what looks to be the original six cylinder. These business coupes make great rods and look a lot like a '40 ford but without the big price. Here are all the details. Basic pictures are in the listing but MORE PICTURES ARE IN THE PHOTOBUCKET LINK. Thanks. PICTURES: http://s942.photobucket.com/albums/ad267/tutheck5/1940%20plymouth%20business%20coupe/ MECHANICAL This car has what most likely is the original six cylinder. It looks stock with no modifications. Spark plugs are out and distributor cab etc. is off. I haven't tried turning it over. Most likely needs rebuilt but you never know... Original transmission etc. is in place. Rolls and steers. Tires hold air. Brakes don't work. BODY The body is in great shape for an unrestored project. Exterior is rust free and very straight for the most part. Has the usual dings but no big dents and no bondo. Paint may be original? Hard to tell on some of these old ones but it looks like it hasn't been painted. The pics of both sides kind of look like the quarters have damage/rust behind the doors but they are very nice. It's just the lighting and surface rust. Floorpan and trunkpan has rust in multiple areas and the whole thing pretty much needs replaced. Doors and hood operate and close as they should and are in nice shape. Besides the floor, the body will be easy to prep for paint or you can fix the floors and just rat it and drive it the way it is. Would look good as a gaser with some et's, halibrand's or torque thrusts on it. Some of the glass is broke but I believe it's all flat and easily replaceable. INTERIOR The interior is complete with the exception of the lower seat cushions. It does need complete restoration. OVERALL Nice little project car and rare to see at car shows. Thanks.
