Hi - this is a wonderful Boxster S but it was a Theft Recovery and sold at auction hence the Salvage title. Some insurance companies insist on doing this and it is their option but not necessary. Farmers Insurance was the seller The car has spent its entire life in the SouthWest - Texas and then New Mexico with ONE OWNER - the car is now in South Carolina The thieves cut a medium sized "L" in the top - gained access and stole the CD changer in the front trunk - bonnet. A chargeable ipod connection was added to the factory stereo and the bose equipment is all working - the dash head unit is also a single CD player so the stereo is now a cd and ipod unit and it has the Bose sub option behind the seats. The link below has an extensive photo list using an arrow to point out flaws. In short the top was stitched by our boat upholstery person. The top is fine for now - if you are like me and always put it down anyway. The rear window is plastic and has some separations around the edges. Tops are offered on ebay for $518 - so you can replace it when you want to. The windshield has a baseball sized star - spider crack and needs replaced. The rear tires are new. The cabin filter is new The air filter is new. The oil and oil filter are fresh. The car runs and drives like a one owner 65K (6500 miles per year) well cared for car - I think it is jam up. In fact if it hadn't been stolen it probably would be a $20,000 plus sports car. But is has a cracked windshield and a stitched up top and an imperfection on the drivers side seat - the leather is rough here and I don't know if some kind of leather conditioner with soften it. All this is shown in the pictures. We are a Franchised PowerSports Dealership - it is owned by my parents and I am a grad student doing this listing for them. As indicated in the listing is being sold by the dealership - so if you live in SC you will have to pay sales tax and license fees but if you live elsewhere you will do this in your state. At the end of the auction you will be ask to submit a $1000 deposit via paypal and the balance via wire transfer or certified check. If you elect to pay the balance in cash you will still have to make the deposit and meet the timetable out lined in the terms. Please don't bid if you can not meet these terms. Our Office Mgr will be in contact with you - via email and phone (once you provide that) and will do all of your paperwork per your directions - name address etc that you give her. She is very accommodating and sweet. As you can see - the car needs nothing and you can drive it home across country - it runs fantastic. If you want to fly in - make your arrangements to GSP airport - and if you want to we have a cabin on a creek that is a great place to stay - and will offer you one night stay there free of charge. Its an historic property so you might want to take us up on the offer - pretty cool. The power windows work The power seats work The stereo works The climate control system works The hood and deck lid access releases work The power mirrors work. The convertible top works. All the lights work even the tiny ones on the doors and rear view mirror. We have the owners manual and two keys. Good Luck. Boxster S is way more car than Boxster. BTW - our shop is certified on the Porsche M96 engine (2 techs) so when we say it runs the way it should it aren't guessing. Finally the car will have a few more miles on it than the listing bc Mom and Dad are enjoy driving it daily right now - but less than 1000.
