Vehicle Detail
One of the lowest priced 928's with the lowest miles on eBay, Cars.com, and Autotrader.com. Don't take my word for it, take a look. I purchased this 928 S about a year ago. As a kid, washing cars at a Porsche dealership, I desperately wanted a 911, a 944 and a 928. Fast forward 30 years. This one is awesome, but I simply don't have room at the Inn. I don't want to put a lift in the garage, either. Not sure my marriage could handle that. This Porsche is Navy Blue with white-ivory leather interior, and as a Penn Stater, I like that combo. The car is a 2-owner out of New York (Long Island). The paint is great and so is the interior. The Carfax and AutoCheck both show a clean history. I have completed 2 Pennsylvania required state inspections without a glitch. The previous owner, who owned the car from the mid '90's until last year, changed the timing belt, clutch, and kept up with routine maintenance (I have all of his records). The tires are almost brand new, and the oil was just changed. Everything works as it should (a/c blows cold, heat blows hot, ABS works, sunroof and all power options work). While the previous owner installed an Alpine CD stereo, the original Blaupunkt cassette player is in the hatch. I purchased a set of Lloyd mats for the car which are still in the box. So, what is bad? The only two negative things I could say about the car are the following. The original owner painted a small gold-leaf pinstripe (very expensive '80's touch) on the car, and the second owner covered it up with a small black and light blue pinstripe. You can barely see it, until you are about 5 feet away, and it can probably be removed. I simply didn't want to mess around with the paint. The second minor issue is the dash. It has started to "cup" or buckle slightly around the passenger side windshield air vent (see photo). Neither are big deals, but I wanted to be upfront. This car is truly a "keeper." And if it doesn't create any interest, I have no problem hanging onto it. The car is currently at Knopf Automotive in Allentown, PA (www.Knopfauto.com). That is my father's Porsche-Audi-Mercedes Benz dealership. I own Patriot Buick GMC in Boyertown, PA (www.Patriotbpg.com). The car is for sale locally, so the auction may end at any time. The car is being sold "AS-IS" with no warranty expressed nor implied. The mileage may also accrue, as the car may be test-driven. Feel free to view So, take a look and reach out with any questions that you may have. Keep this in mind, though. For the money I am asking, you could buy a pretty good riding mower and a nice watch, or just a 2005 Honda Accord. So, PLEASE, serious buyers only. I don't need a history lesson on Porsches, nor do I want to match wits with any sales tacticians or strategists. It's a great car at a great price. If you don't think so, that's ok, too. On Sep-09-12 at 13:49:05 PDT, seller added the following information:I brought the 928 home to take some more photos, give it another wax, and put it in the garage. Did I say the paint was great? Yeah, it is. Take a look at the additional photos. Good luck, and thanks for bidding!
