Vehicle Detail
1931 FORD MODEL A COUPE with RUMBLE SEATThis car runs and drives great and is ready to go! Engine: The engine starts and runs perfect. It doesn't smoke or rattle. It needs nothing, it's smooth. The advance and retard, throttle, and choke action all work as should. Transmission: The transmission is the stock 3 speed. It shifts smooth, no gear grindage. It doesn't pop out of gear like alot of them do. The clutch engages smooth as well. Rear End: The rear is stock and it works as it should. Paint & Body: The paint and body work are from an older restoration. There is some chips, imperfections, etc. From 15-20 feet it looks great. You can leave it as is or do a little work and have a really nice paint job. The top is PERFECT and needs nothing. The stainless headlights and grill shell are nice, as is the cowl lights. The bumpers are good. Excellent rack on the rear for luggage. The car is all steel no fiberglass. Interior: The interior is as nice as it gets. It is PERFECT in all areas, the seat upholstery, door panels, windlace, package tray, kick panels, headliner floor mat, etc are amazing. The glass is all good and the windows roll up and down and the windshield pivots out as well. The instrumentation works as well, speedo, odometer, amp gauge. Upgrades: It has a few upgrades. It has fully functional turn signals on the front and rear. The wiper unit has been switched to a 6 volt electric one. The car now has a 6 volt alternator instead of a generator. There is a master shut off for the electrical and and an additional fuel shut off valve. This is a nice car that cruises excellent and looks good doing itAlthough not perfect it is very presentable at any rate and would holdits own at any cruise or show and shine. The Tires have some light cracking in the sidewalls. They hold air, I don't think it is much of a concern when figuring the speeds and type of driving the car normally gets. The tread is great. The brakes are good, and the stop evenly from 50 MPH to low speeds. It doesn't pull at all. On rare occasion the squeak at low speeds, like 2-3 MPH. The steering box was rebuilt and there is no play. The exhaust manifold is the type that you use a heater with, I have the top half that rests on the manifold and it comes with the car.
