Selling A Nice Low Mileage BMW X5I have been a car enthusiast for 9 years buying mostly Porsches Mercedes and BMW’s because in my opinion, nothing compares to German engineering. I used to own a dealership and have also helped several international buyers locate, purchase, and export these beautiful cars back to their place of origin for private collection therefore I accept and welcome bidders from around the world. Some vehicles I sell are my personal cars, some are ones that I am listing on behalf of others, but I always drive the cars and describe them to the best of my ability. Prior to bidding on any of my vehicles, please make sure to ask any questions as your bid is a binding contract stating that you accept the car in AS IS condition. I know that most ebayers and classic car collectors are stand-up people but there are a few out there who simply should not be buying cars online. I do my best to describe the cars as they are in my opinion but in order to make sure that the cars are up to your standards it is your responsibility to inspect the car in person or have your assigned agent inspect the car, otherwise you are buying the car based on my opinion only- I am not a certified car inspector or mechanic- just an enthusiast that has been around a lot of cars so when you bid on my car you are indicating that you are satisfied with its condition and take responsibility for your decision to bid.That disclaimer being stated, here is the description I offer for this particular car: The high bidder will become the new owner of this 2003 BW X5. The last owner of this car lived in Hawaii and bought this car to drive back and forth from Utah to Nevada to visit her children while visiting the mainland, so it has spent most of its time parked in either Nevada or Utah-- hence the very low mileage. It recently had new Micheline tires put on it- valued at over $1,000 including the spare tire and it has had a recent service as well so it is ready to drive anywhere. It has many premium options that you won't see on most X5's including power reclining rear seats, built in window shades, heated seats and steering wheel (winter package), hill descent control, sunroof, and the full leather interior. This vehicle also has tinted windows and heavy duty all weather floor mats as well as a custom car cover that will come with the auction as well as the Carfax report, owners manual, service records, and a clear Utah title signed off by the previous owner. This is the 3.0 L motor which gets much better fuel economy than the 4.4L, plus this motor is well known to last a very long time- you will see BMW 3.0L engines running strong at 250k miles. My overall assessment is that this X5 will be a very solid and reliable SUV for the new owner- it's very hard to find them with low miles like this and it's a great looking vehicle in great mechanical condition. I believe that value is determined by what people are willing to pay for a car which is why I list cars at NO RESERVE. NADA book value says that this one is worth $17,000- just be the high bidder at the end of the auction and it's yours. Most people would just say “great condition” and not give all the details but I try to include everything, good and bad. This description is my opinion of the car based on my experience with cars. Ultimately it is the buyer's responsibility to determine the condition of any car for themself. Cosmetically the vehicle is in good condition as you can see. There are some minor dings here and there, the most significant one being on the driver's side rear passenger door but all of the imperfections can be taken care of with a paintless dent removal service. The interior has no major issues- no tears and only shows wear consistent with the mileage so it's not brand new, but it's in great shape. The wheels all look great and the tires are nearly brand new. Some of the pixels come on and off in the gauges which is typical for BMW's but it's not a big deal and is purely cosmetic. Other than that I can't find anything else to complain about but feel free to ask any questions and look over all the pics. It's really a nice ride. Mechanically this vehicle looks to be in tip top shape. It starts and runs without any issues, there are no warning lights on, the transmission shifts flawlessly and the ride handles like a sports car. The AC and heater work and the car drives straight down the road and the brakes and everything about it feel great. I would feel comfortable driving this vehicle anywhere across the country. In summary, this is a great vehicle with low miles and is in condition that one would expect for the mileage. Feel free to ask questions prior to bidding.
