Vehicle Detail

Kick butt little car. I've owned it since April and have driven it very little since I purchased it. I'm 6'4" tall with a bad right knee. I got carried away with this car because I have always loved the Eclipse. They're great looking cars but they aren't built for big guys with bad knees. I bought it from one of my employees who has owned it for several years. It has been well taken care of. I have maintenance records for several years and you'll get those when you pick it up. The car starts and runs great. Just before I purchased it, the previous owner drove it from Des Moines, IA to northeastern Oklahoma and back to visit his family. It has been a daily driver until I purchased it in April. I drive it once a week and have put about 1000 miles on it. It has a little rust on in as you can see from the pictures. It's minor. The interior is in very good condition but the top lid for the console is missing and the side view mirror adjustment lever covers are missing from both sides. When I bought it, the A/C didn't work and it still doesn't. However, I charged the system and purchased a new relay for it. It took a charge and worked fine for several weeks. The compressor kicks on and it cools but apparently there is a leak. The previous owner replaced a valve cover gasket that was leaking oil just before I bought it. I could smell oil burning off the exhaust manifold for the first month or so but that seems to be gone or has been reduced to the point that I don't notice it anymore. It has aftermarket Prime wheels and Goodyear P225/50R16 American Eagle tires that are in good shape with good tread. The tail lights are aftermarket as are the headlight lenses (they're tinted). It also has aftermarket exhaust and an aftermarket breather. I'm not crazy about the tires, the wheels, the exhaust or the breather but nothing is wrong with any of it. I'm just 42 and planned to change them all out to turn it into a quiet, normal, fuel efficient car to drive should anything happen that causes me to lose my company car. It also has a brand new Interstate battery. If you bid, you're getting an excellent, well cared for car. I like it a lot but it just doesn't fit me. I spent more time telling you what's wrong with it than I did telling you how great it is. I care about my feedback and won't hide any negatives. Personally, I'd drive this car anywhere and I trust it. It has been very well cared for and has a lot of maintenance free life left in it. I'm starting it at $1000.00 and you can bid confidently on it. If you have questions or want additional pictures, ask. Don't think you can go wrong with this one.
