Vehicle Detail
This auction is for one of the cleanest, lowest hour Honda ATC 250R's that I have ever come across or seen. This machine is on it's original bore/piston and the motor has never been opened up. This originally belonged to an older gentleman that rerely rode it, and the few times he did ride it was in the sand. It was bought by a friend of mine in 2002 and only went on 3 weekend Glamis trips up until 2005, and from that point on has been stored on a palette in an enclosed RV garage. I spent the day cleaning it up and then realized just how nice it was. This machine is about as close as I have seen to looking like it came off the showroom floor. The original finish on EVERY part on this machine is pretty much perfect. This has no corrosion on anything and nothing is faded. As far as what is not OEM, the handlebars, throttle and silencer are not original. It is missing the swingarm skidplate, and I removed the frame skidplate for pictures, but it will come with it and it is just as nice. Everything else is OEM and near perfect. The rear fender and the headlight bezel are OEM replacements. The rear fender looks to be newer, as it is perfect. Also, the rear wheels and tires are not the original wheels and tires to this machine, they are 1985 ATC 250R original OEM's, but they did not come originally with this bike. This bike came with paddle tires, and not the original OEM wheels and tires that were sold with this machine. These wheels and tires woul be the only thing that I would list as being in moderate condition. The wheels have a couple of dents and the tires only have about 50% tread left. Other than that, the left radiator shroud has a couple of small cracks in the mount areas, and the front fender has a hairline crack at the front left mounting hole (I was not able to get a picture of it as it is hard to see). This machine looks and runs just as it did the day it came off the showroom floor. Everything on this bike is in perfect operating/running condition. This bike still has the original brake pads, chain, sprockets, and everything else that on just about every other machine of this age has been changed out about 150 times by now. This is a true timepiece and with the addition of just a couple of OEM parts, will be right back to 100% OEM original showroom condition. I have put up many, many pictures of this fine machine, so feel free to check them out. I was not able to put up as many as I wanted to, so contact me if you would like to see more. I have a lot of the detailed smaller stuff. I can get this bike shipped just about anywhere in the US for around $500. I would prefer to paid by cashiers check or postal money order on this. NOT PAYPAL due to fees and our good friends at the IRS. A $500 deposit will be due at auction end that can be paid VIA paypal.
