VERY GOOD CONDITION (47 year old car) Mostly all ORIGINAL parts & spares. 1 original tail light replaced with another orginal late 1960s. Original front bench seat removed & replaced with 1967 Tempest Bucket Seats. Automatic Transmission replaced with 2 Speed Automatic. Original Bumpers re-chromed in Late 90s. LOTS OF OPPORTUNITY FOR THIS UNIQUE VEHICLE. 1. Keep as is and start driving with new tires (needed) 2. Keep and start minor restoration (all thats needed) 3. Do Total Restoration. 4. Convert to GTO Clone. My History: Lived in Atlanta GA for many years. In 1998 searched for about a year for a very good condition GTO but found either too high priced for me or not in condition I was looking for. Decided to pursue the sister Tempest for same look but better price. Purchased the Pontiac from a man in South GA the day I looked at it in February 1999. The car was in excellent condition, well maintained and he used as a daily driver. Although it needed very little when he purchased it, he began overhauling it with original parts or period adds from Year One. He was the 3rd Owner and did not want to sell the car but had money & health issues and basically needed the money. It was my first antique car and I thoroughly enjoyed driving it all over the Atlanta area most every weekend in good weather. It was garage kept and my intention was to continue the minor enhancements as the former owner did or totally restore. Garage kept, I drove the car on the road (1-2 x aweek) for over 3 years. It went to a Garage Storage for 2 years then Covered Parking since 2004 and kept in running condition to this day. Last Registered in GA and now residing in NC. Excellent running condition when parked in 2007. Since I have owned, I have done only Oil Changes and Tune ups with related parts and replaced the Starter. New Tires needed now.
