Vehicle Detail
Year: 1986 Mileage: 89k VIN: WP0AB0914GS121641 Exterior Color: Prussian Blue Interior Color: Blue Engine: 3.2 Liter, 6 cylinder Transmission: 5 speed manual Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico This a very clean, mechanically sound and well taken care of '86 Porsche Carrera 911. Everything works including all gauges, lights, instruments, etc. About the only thing it needs is an AC recharge. The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires have about 11k. The exterior color is a very rare Prussian Blue, unique in the sea of reds and blacks typical for 911's in those years. The car is extremely reliable -- in the 2.5 years we've owned it, we have taken it on several 2-3k mile trips to Colorado, Utah, California and Texas and it has never failed us in the slightest way. It typically gets driven 1-2 times a week, 50-200 miles at time. It rarely gets driven in town and never in the winter. For a sports car, it's also fantastic on gas -- it consistently gets 25 mpg when driven 75-80 on the highway. It's mostly driven by the mrs. As far as we can tell, the car has been garage kept most of its life and driven less than 3k/year until 2009. 95% of the 30k we put on it have been thousand-mile pleasure trips and long distance highway commutes (120 miles - Santa Fe to Albuquerque and back). This Porsche is NOT a showroom car, but it's one of the cleanest unrestored 911's out there. The interior is in a great condition except for a bit of wear on the driver's seat. The exterior and undercarriage are rust free, but the paint does have an occasional tiny chip mostly on the mirrors and around the front lights. As far as we know, the car has never been involved in an accident except for one 5mph workplace parking lot incident (car was stationary, other driver at fault). The small resulting dent in the driver's rear quarter panel was fixed/repainted at Maurer's Collision in Albuquerque, a high-end body shop specializing in luxury and sports cars. We love this car -- it's been a loyal companion and a joy to drive -- but decided to sell it in order to get a 4x4 we could take on off-road adventures. Local inspection strongly encouraged. Away for Labor Day weekend. Spotty access to email until after the holiday. The vehicle is also offered for sale locally. Will cancel the auction early if sold.
