Vehicle Detail
67 Plymouth Satellite The original 318 motor, 727 transmission, 8-3/4 rear. 137, 000 miles 3rd owner in 45 years Here’s the perfect car for you. This Satellite spent its first 36 years with same family in the Seattle area. The first owner fixed it up for his son. This included rebuilding the original engine and transmission, replacing the carpet and giving it a fresh coat of paint. At some point before it was repainted, the hood and left front fender were replaced thus the GTX hood. His son didn’t care for the old beauty so it got sold to the second owner who sold it to me. I bought it to make a GTX clone. I started by replacing every piece of front and rear suspension and steering. Front torsion bars are HD 426, KYB shocks all around, HD Front sway bar, 73 mopar front disc brakes, rebuilt the rear brakes, dual master cylinder, power brakes, Calvert Racing mono-leaf springs (Great control & good ride). Then I drove it for a while. I’ve owned many Mopar’s, and this is the nicest driving, most comfortable, and most reliable I’ve had. It runs so well I just didn’t want to pull out the original motor. Since then I have installed a mopar electronic ignition, torque cam, lifters, timing chain, water pump, and added an Edelbrock manifold and four barrel. Everything on the car works although the gas gauge is not accurate. This car is a treat to own and drive. I drive it to work often just for fun and to keep her fresh. I get smiles and thumbs up all the time. As is, this car looks great from 15 feet away. This is a very solid car, only very minor surface rust. If you want to make it into a show car you will need to do some minor body repairs, and put a good paint job on it. It needs some trim pieces replaced and bumpers chromed. The interior is original and not torn but shows effects of sun. Drivers arm rest has a small split, and there are two small holes in the headliner. It needs a carpet kit, the old one is faded. Included with the car is a GTX gas cap, gasket, and trim ring ($500 worth). Also included is lots of original receipts, original certicard, sales brochures, and a copy of the factory repair manual. I love this car but I need the garage space. I can be reached daytime (California time) at 714 974 5752, ask for Jerry
