2001 Prius Hybrid with about 197,000 miles on it. I purchased this about a year ago and since then I have put on new tires and brakes and given it its routine maintenance (fluids). The previous owner upgraded the battery to a Gen II cell battery in May 2011 ( since then about about 16,000 miles on it). Somehow the car ended up at an auction house and the original hybrid battery was dead. The guy I bought it from, who works for Toyota, bought it at the auction and put in the next generation battery. This car really did me right and was just what I needed for the year. Mileage is fantastic ( > 45 ! ). Now I have to let her go and because of procrastination, as soon as possible! Sad to say good bye. This car has some damage on its rear from a mishap at the toll booth. The AC is acting up and will sporadically stop working... after giving it a break for a few minutes it will start working again. Annoying.. but it kept me cool all summer so I never bothered to fix it. The check engine light has come on and I was told it might be one of the cat convertors (I think this car has 3), but I always ran it on premium gas and that light went out and stayed out and the engine never gave me any trouble so I also ignored this problem. I did put new brakes and tires on, they probably have about 8,000 miles on them. The interior is ok, non-smoking but does need some more thorough cleaning after a year with my two year old feasting in the back seat. All of the electronics work, power locks, power windows. display screen .. all good. I am starting the bidding very low, mainly out of desperation as I am moving very soon and I have no other arrangements for this car. The lucky winner can enjoy a great and efficient option for getting around the stop and go city at the price of a nice bicycle. This is my first time ever selling a car on ebay and strange circumstances as I am going to be leaving town just days after this auction ends. I will have to be in touch with the winner right away so we can make arrangements for where it should be stored for pick up. I can leave it anywhere around the greater DC metropolitan area (preferably near Reston, VA) that works for the buyer. Good luck!
