This has been my personal/family vehicle for four years. I have owned this car from the time it had six thousand miles. This car has been maintained very well. Maintenance records and receipts exist for almost every service it ever went through such as oil changes, brakes, spark plugs, spark plug wires, rotors and so forth. This vehicle has a previous Salvage History, it had rear damage, everything was addressed/fixed four years ago. Parts replaced were quarter panel, trunk lid, bumper, and paint. That's it. By issuing Salvage title, Insurance Company is taking themselves out of any liability issues in the future. Does salvage means the car is totaled, not always. Sometimes the car has minor damage but the parts are very expensive. Sometimes the owner does not want to get his vehicle repaired and depending on the Insurance Company and the year of the car, Insurance will pay off the car. If the car gets stolen then Insurance has thirty days to recover the vehicle, if the car is not recovered in thirty days, Insurance pays off the owner and once the car is recovered, it is brought to the auction with Salvage title.
