Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1960 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. This car is in very good condition. I would not be afraid to drive this car from NY to CAL. I believe the millage of 87,042 is original. The last owner did this: Had the motor and transmission rebuilt, Put a new top on, Replaced all the interior, Had the car repainted with 1/3 paint left in the gallon of paint used to paint the car, and for some reason he had halogen headlights installed. When i got the car i did this: the carb was leaking gas and the choke was missing, so i put a brand new four barrel carb. on from summit racing -$300., I also changed the distributor and put a HEI electronic dist. in with new blue 8mm wires--$200, then i bought a fan shroud to help cool the motor--$200., put on a rad. overflow bottle, 60 T-Bird Convertibles are know to have the relays go bad and not let the top work so i bought from the bird nest all 12 new relays at a cost of $600., plus i had both trunk hinges rebuilt, now the top goes down and up perfectly, then i bought from american racing four new american racing torque thrust two wheels and four new solid raised white letter radial tires with about 40 miles on them if that at a cost of $1,500.. All the gauges work, all the power windows work, the top works, the car runs and shifts good, even the original am radio works. The car has A/C , everything is there but it needs recharged. I did not recharge it cause i drove the car with the top down and had no use for A/C. The frame is solid with no rust or holes. The floor did have a couple of patches done very nicely by a professional body shop. The car is a driver, not a show car so a couple of chips in the paint , touched up, but there is extra paint comes with the car for touch ups. This car has about 20,000 miles on it since the motor and trans. were rebuilt. I set my reserve price to what i have in the car, no gain or loss in money. Please do not ask what my reserve price is or what is the lowest price i will take, cause when i do that someone always offers me less. I am not into low ballers, this is a very good car. I don't want to sell it but unforseen things makes me have to sell it. Who ever buys this car will get a really nice car , everywhere you go people just look at it and say how beautiful it is. If i get at least my reserve price i will sell it, if not i will keep relisting it till i get my price. If you have questions just call me or write: jim at 412-464-2918 or jamesrozzo@yahoo.com thanks for looking. PS- this car was appraised for $27,000 by Erie Insurance appraiser. buyer is responsible for shipping. thanks againOn Aug-20-12 at 13:24:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been getting questions about the wire wheels that were on the car. I sold them and no longer have them.
