This is a 1965 Volvo 544,,,,I had the car restored in 1990 and I drove her ( Nicknamed her Rosie) in college and up to 2002,,She only has around 60,000 miles after the restoration,,,However,She has been parked in my parents garage for the last 10 years,,,She started right up last week end after 10 years and the motor still runs well,,,but the brakes have froze up from setting so long,,so I have only driven her around the block as the brakes are not working,,,she will need a brake job pronto!!!,,,,heater works,,all lights work,,wipers work,,In 1990 the original B-18 motor was replaced with a freshly rebuilt volvo 1974 B-20 motor and 71 fi head,,Motor was completely rebuilt with new quality parts,,,new pistons and rings, bearings, timing gear, ipd cam and lifters, heavy duty oil pump, heavy duty clutch, gaskets, valve job,,,she was rebuilt right!!!,,,She still has a strong motor,,,4 speed manual trans works fine,,steering is great all new bushings 1990,,new shocks ,,1990 had beautiful repaint in Porshe red,,very close to her original factory red color,,,1990 I had the rusted floor boards replaced with heavy gauge steel,,,she had no rust in the rockers or body,,,I had her underside bead blasted ,painted and sealed to keep her that way!!!,,,1990 the Front seats were replaced with volvo 1800 seats,,much, much more comfortable,,,the fabric after setting 10 years has gone bad,,,but the frames are still good,,,no carpet,,,,,1990 had new factory dash pad put in,,still great!!,,,gas gauge has stopped working,,,tires hold air but are dry rotten,,,paint is still fair and has shine,,but not perfect,,,see photos,,,I wish i could keep her,,I know I'm going to cry when she goes ,but i don't have the $ or time to fix her back up,,,I just want her to go to a good home with someone who will love her as much as i did!!!,,,,Thank You for looking,,,,EricaOn Aug-20-12 at 16:39:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add that this car also has an IPD heavy duty front sway bar,,,this makes the car corner much better than the factory bar,,,also in 1990 the car also had all the u joints and the center line bearing in the drive shaft replaced,,,,,,Generator was also rebuilt in 1990,,,thank You,,,,,On Aug-20-12 at 20:24:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Also forgot to note that the one of the front turn signal lens covers is broken,,,light works,,but needs new lens,,,,see photo,,,,thanks
