Vehicle Detail

HERE IS ANOTHER CAR FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION. THIS ONE IS A VERY COOL EMBERGLOW POLY 1966 FORD MUSTANG A-CODE 4 SPEED WITH 289CI/225HP 4BBL. THAT RUNS/DRIVES GREAT AND IS READY FOR SOMEONE TO ENJOY IT OR DO SOME TLC TO IT AS THEY SEE FIT. Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the vehicle in person. Many more additional pictures available at this link below: http://www.webeautos.com/detail-1966-ford-mustang-for_sale-used-8640923.html Vehicle came out of Tennessee. Previous owner basically was enjoying the car as a nice running/driving project and doing some work on it a little at a time. It was semi-restored sometime in the late 1980s and entered the show car circuit back then. Since that time it has been kept indoors and used on occasion. Recently when I got it, I did a lot of aesthetic and minor mechanical work to it, which included adding some GT options (stripe, fog lights, gas cap, etc.), added a nice used set of Magnum 500 wheels with pony caps, did some work on the interior which included new dash pad and cleanining up, dressed up the engine compartment a bit, and finally had my body guy lightly wetsand the car to bring out some of its original shine. It is equipped with some nice options: OPTIONS: Power steering Manual drum brakes Vinyl roof Air conditioning (parts under hood removed) Magnum 500 wheels 289ci/225 hp A-CODE motor 4 speed manual transmission Center console GT appearance package (lower body stripe, fog lights, gas cap) RALLY PAC gauge cluster Body is very nice and straight with very few waves in it. Doors open and close nicely. Gaps are all good from what I could see and panel fit is pretty good overall for a 60s car. Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great. Transmission shifts seamlessly without any major synchro noises and a good clutch. Now as for driving the car, i've taken it out mostly around the neighborhood here and there for a few functions, every once in a while I take it to a local cruise night. Transmission shifts great, brakes work nicely, steers very well and overall I would feel confident taking the car anywhere. Motor is the factory A-CODE 289ci 225hp with 4bbl. carburetor and intake upgraded from the factory. Sounds very good and I've had my mechanic check it for compression and the like, which all seemed good. Basically all stock with NO upgrades or modifications other than an export brace and monte carlo bar for added structural support, that's it. Interior is presentable for a driver as you can see. No real eye sores but a bit tired looking and could use refreshening to do it right. Underside is typical for a mustang. Floors appear to have been replaced in sections, and the new floorpans were laid on top of the existing ones. Shock towers look pretty decent. Torque boxes were patched with sheetmetal and rivets. Front frame rails do have some rust that was patched with sheetmetal but they should be redone properly (structurally sound though with some ron on front driver's side). Trunk was patched up as well by the sides and rear frame rails. Overall like I said, typical Mustang. Fairly presentable underneath but should really be redone properly to do it justice. The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in FAIR shape and cleans up decently when buffed out but it does have various imperfections as you would expect of old paint (small scratches, knicks, touchups, minor scrapes and chips, etc.). Not working: fog lights (not connected), horn, a/c (missing components under hood), horn, and perhaps a gauge or two needs recalibrating. Underside will need some work as I've described earlier. So overall she is nowhere near perfect and will need some form of TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. If you just want a NICE DRIVER needing minor tlc, this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some serious investment to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO. AT THE VERY LEAST TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE ADDITIONAL PICTURES ON THE LINK ABOVE.
