Vehicle Detail
This is a 1992 Volkswagen Cabriolet. This car is great on gas as it gets 24 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. This has the highly collectable checkered seats and door pannels. The car battery has been swapped out for a newer one recently. Aftermarket CD player and Subwoofers installed. Beautiful car for the age, very well kept, interrior seats in great condition. There are some minor blemishes that are usual for a 20 year old vehicle such as this. This vehicle has only 105k miles, which is low for its age. NO accidents as you can see from the vehicle check. Tires are newer and over 50% tread. Rubber on the top is in good shape and has recently been replaced. Took it to Autozone to check battery, alternator and starter; all are good. It is having an issue that seems to be fuel related or electrical (the car will occasionally take a few tries to start. Usually giving it gas gets it going, as well as occasionally requires a restart). Besides this issue, the car is mechanically good. Engine runs strong. I will include a free ship up to 75 miles with this purchase *All other shipping charges are the resposibility of the buyer *. The engine runs smoothly, and has no noise/knocking, all gears shift smoothly, brakes are good. Car is sold as is and no warranties are implied/offered. I am selling this car locally, so I reserve the right to remove this listing if it gets sold. On Aug-04-12 at 19:27:23 PDT, seller added the following information: ****Found out today that the issue is that you have to hold the ignition on to keep it running. It (the ignition lock cylinder) wants to slip back, so it may be that that needs to be replaced.
