The Porsche 928 is a sport GT sold from
1978 to 1995. Intended to replace the company's iconic 911, the 928 attempted to combine the power, poise, and handling of a sports car with the refinement, comfort, and equipment of a luxury sedan. The car had the distinction of being the company's only coupe powered by a front-mounted V8 engine, and it's first mass-produced V8 powered model. Porsche utilized a transaxle in the 928 to help achieve 50/50 front/rear weight distribution, aiding the car's balance.
We purchased this car in 2010 with the intention of
restoring the interior but did not undertake the project. The dashboard is
cracked with a large section missing. A fitted cover will need to be installed.
The front seats are torn and currently have vinyl covers on them. The drivers
door panel is damaged with the arm rest (and window controls) off.
The driver’s window isn’t working because the wires to the
switch are disconnected. The passenger window motor works but the window is crooked in the track and doesn’t lower. The sunroof only opens with a helping push.
The front spoiler has some road rash on the passenger side
and there is minor rust on the hatch and under the rear spoiler. The front tires look like they have about half tread left. Both rear tires are new.
The car starts and runs and the five speed transmission shifts as it should.

our lot as needed. They are stored battery out, with fuel stabilizer. Our cars
start, run and drive, unless noted otherwise. This does not mean they are ready for long trips. We recommend a full mechanical inspection before taking them on the road.
We do our best to describe our vehicles accurately and
include numerous photographs but small defects don't always show in pictures. Any known or visible defects at the time of listing will be stated in the vehicle description. Classic and vintage vehicles usually will require sorting out. Please do your research before bidding as all of our cars are sold “as is”.
We welcome you having an independent inspection BEFORE buying but not after the auction closes. Inspection at the time of pick up and attempts at subsequent renegotiation will not be permitted and will be cause for forfeiture of the deposit.
All cars are sold “where is” from our location in Culpeper
VA. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. We use Eclipse Auto Transport for all of our transport needs and suggest you contact them at 800-496-0881 for a competitive quote.
A deposit of $500 is required 24 hours after the auction closes.
We will open unpaid claims with eBay if deposits are not received.

We do not expect you to start the negotiation by offering us
the highest amount you are willing to pay. So, we do not start our auctions by
disclosing the lowest we are willing to accept. eBay has resolved this problem
by allowing us to confidentially provide them with the lowest price we will
accept (RESERVE). eBay allows you to confidentially provide the highest amount you are willing to spend (MAXIMUM BID).
