Up for bid is 1966 Mustang that will require total restoration or can be used as an parts car. This Mustang was highly optioned for the day, it came with factory air, power steering, power drum brakes, and vinyl top. If you purchase this stang for restoring I would suggest replacing the entire floor pan and the pan under the rear seat. The passenger door will need to be replaced the driver's door I believe can be salvaged. Other items that would require replacement are the trunk pan, lower cowl vent panel, dash panel, hood, passenger side front apron, and both quarters (or repair). The decklid is in pretty good condition the area where the decklid seals to the body will need to be repaired. The fenders are in pretty good shape but will need some metal work to be usable. The roof is rough in one area but I feel it can be fixed. There are two headliner rods in the car but I believe I have two more in my shed. The gauge cluster is the 140 mph type but it will need to be replaced. The wheels are 16 inch type from a Lincoln the tires are in excellent shape they are 225/60/16 BF Goodrich Traction TAs. What I find really remarkable is the front and rear frame rails are in really good shape as is the reinforced area where the transmission mounts. The radiator I believe to be good enough to have it refurbished. Another amazing thing about this car is the no one cut holes in the shock towers to grease the upper A-arms. There is virtually no wiring with this car someone cut it at the switches and removed. Obviously the windshield is bad but the rest of the glass is present the door and quarter windows internal mechanics will have to be refurbished to function properly. What you see in the pictures is what comes with the sale. The block is a 1974 302 that is bored .060 over it is in excellent shape as are the piston, rods, and crankshaft. The heads will need to be gone through the intake is an aluminum Edelbrock high rise, the cam (stock) is in very good shape there is a set of lifters that come with it as well they're just not pictured. I have a set of push rods that are not in the pictures that will come with this sale. There is a timing chain set and the cam fuel pump cam comes with this sale but is not pictured. The C4 transmission does not have a torque converter and will require a rebuild. There is no fly wheel or heat shield with this auction.
