This is my 1974 IH Scout 2, I bought it to fix up and use for hunting and playing. I have found I don’t use it much so it sits in my garage, and I have a 4x4 truck to use. My story of it is I bought it off a friend, fixed it up and put new tires on them; I have owned it just over a year and have put 500 miles on it. I take it out at least once a month to drive around the section with to make sure everything is working. The previous owner has owned it for 10 years, he bought it fixed up from a guy, in the last 5 years a new engine was put in it, it originally came with a 345 with 727 3 speed auto tranny, and the engine currently in it is 304. It was bought and completely rebuilt from the ground up I believe the engine has about 12,000 to 15,000 miles on it. After the new engine was put in it he drove it for a year before getting a new truck, and then would use it off and on. It spent most of its life outside next to a tree so one side has rust worse than the other. It currently has 938906, I am not sure if that is original or not. The guy before that had completely redone the scout it has a nice interior, and it was completely done, but that was back in the 1990's so the outside paint is wearing off and the clear is peeling. I have most if not all the receipts for it; I have the original line sheet from the factory. Most of its live was in the Enid, ok area. It is up on current tags, and does have a clear Oklahoma title. It seems as if it leaks a little oil from sitting, i think the back of the oil pan gasket is leaking. I dont notice it when i was driving it daily, but now that it has been sitting and not used as much I noticed it. When driving it always has good oil pressure, so I do not belive it is leaking when running only when sitting. Also i would recommend on towning it, but you can drive. Also from a question all tires are new and matching, some of the pictures I used were older. So here they are: the tire size is 30X9.5 R15, Yes it does have AC vents, and compressor, But it is not currently working. I never really used it, since i would drive it more during the winter. Also the mileage on the posting is not correct. It should be 93,896 sorry for the confusion.
