Vehicle Detail

1989 One-ton GMC Diesel box truck. 5.2L Vandura. 14' box. I've owned it since 2002. It was last running in November of 2011. Since then it has been sitting in my driveway! I can't make it start and just want it gone. . It's in rough shape. It takes two men to open/close this rollup door as both sides are off their tracks and both cables are disconnected since the bottom of the door rusted out. The power steering fluid leaks. The brake lights do not work. The radio does not work. The fuel gauge does not work (we always wrote the mileage down when we filled it and assumed it got 10 mpg-- oh, mileage is unknown as it only has a 5-digit odometer). You cannot totally fill the diesel tank as it leaks when too full. There are holes through the floor boards of cab. Actually, there's so much rust that the passenger seat is just "sitting there" -- loosely! -- it's no longer fastened to the floor. The glow plugs have been modified as they quit working when key was turned to "on" a few years ago. Now you have to touch two wires together that are loose in the cab (they spark-- then glow plug light comes on on the dash). I've owned it since 2002. Title is clear. In 10 years I've replaced both batteries, most of the 6 tires :) and muffler/exhaust pipes. Being sold totally AS IS, by owner. Cash only. It is located 5 miles NE of St. Louis, Mich. On a postive note.... the last time it was driven, the engine did seem strong and I did it up to 55 mph! On a postive note.... the last time it was driven, the engine did seem strong and I did it up to 55 mph! I think a REALLY strong jump box and some starter fluid will get it to start and run??? I owned a furniture store in St. Louis and this was the store's daily delivery truck for 9 years. In Nov 2011 I closed the furniture store, made a final delivery to my own house.... and parked it here. Please check my "old" seller feedback (05-08) regarding vehicles. I used to sell cars & trucks for a dealership on eBay until the dealership closed. The truck definitely has some mentioned issues.... but it really and truly did run and drive 8 months ago!
