Vehicle Detail

RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYING BUYER. PLEASE HAVE FUNDS IN PLACE BEFORE BIDDING NO RESERVE!!!!!! NO RESERVE!!!!!! Up for sale is a extremely rare piece of Muscle Car History. This is a 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee with 73,027 original miles. This Charger Super Bee is equipped with the original, VIN matching (see photo which documents partial VIN 1A103301 stamped on block) 383 335HP motor and date coded Chrysler A-833 4 speed manual transmission. These are confirmed original by the Casting Number/VIN Number on the engine block (see photo) and the casting number on the tail housing of the transmission (see photo). It is also equipped with the Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter and Bucket Seats. I do have the original broadcast sheet for the car. Here is the Broadcast Sheet Breakdown documenting how the car came factory (all parts accounted for on this car!!) Vehicle Order Number: (820)032642 - Built on August 20th, 1970 (820) VIN #WM23N1A103301 -- Breakdown Car Line - WM (Charger Medium Class - Super Bee) Body Type - 23 (2 Door Hard Top) Engine Code - N (383 4 Barrel V8) Plant - A (Lynch Road, Detroit, Michigan) DETROIT MUSCLE Sequential Number - 103301 (Numbers started at 100001 so this car is #3,301 out of the Lynch Road Plant) Other codes that are listed throughout the broadcast sheet that are of interest: Engine Code - 65 (383 4 Barrel) Transmission Code - D21 (4-speed manual A-833 - Cast Iron with Aluminum Bell Housing) Rear End - D53 - 3.23 Gears Trim Code - C6X9 - Black Interior, Bucket Seats (most soughtafter interior) Paint Code - FC7 - Plum Crazy Metallic Roof Paint Style Top - V1X - Black Vinyl As far as rarity goes I can sum up that question very easily. There were 766 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee's made that were equipped with a Big Block 383 4-Speed Manual transmission. That's 766 made ever! Now, figure in how many have been wrecked, scrapped, modified, cloned, etc. etc. etc... Now as for the car itself. Let me begin by saying that calling this 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee mechanically sound would be an understatement. It runs, shifts, and drives perfect. The tires are brand new and the interior is in unbelieveable shape as you can see from the photos. Although it is the little brother of the big blocks (440, 426 Hemi) this 383 will hold its own. The horsepower is documented at 335 and you feel every bit of that when you get behind the wheel and fire up this beast. If you have never driven a late 60's to early 70's big block Mopar I suggest you put it on your bucket list. Just make sure its MANUAL shift so you can rip through the gears yourself!! The exterior of the car is also in very nice shape. The paint job is about 10 years old but still shines very nicely. As you can tell from the photos I believe calling this paint job "driver quality" would be doing it an injustice. The car has NO dents at all and only a few small chips in the paint. The chrome on the front bumper is beginning to fade, the rear bumper still shines very nicely. The vinyl stripes are all in good shape along with the blackout decal on the hood. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. That means once someone bids on the car it is sold and will go to the highest bidder. As you can see from my feedback I am a trusted E-Bay user and I have bought and sold many vehicles. I have watched a few Charger Super Bee auctions go and the ones I have seen that were documented matching numbers 383 4-Speeds have gone anywhere from $28,000 to as high as $39,000. To find one offered in a no reserve auction is very rare so don't miss out on a chance to own a classic muscle car for a bargain price. Terms of the Auction: Bid to win and only bid if you have the finances. I don't have time for dreamers or people who have to see if they can get funding after they win the auction. Please have your funds ready and in place if you win this auction. E-Bay listings cost money so please be sure you're ready to purchase. This car is listed with NO WARRANTY IMPLIED, it is sold as-is. I encourage everyone with questions to e-mail me. My cell phone is sync'd to my e-mail so when you e-mail me I will get the notification on my cell and I will respond in a timely manner (usually within minutes). I also encourage any buyer to come and check the car out in person. There is a $500.00 deposit due via PayPal at the auctions end (no exceptions unless other arrangements are made prior to auctions end). If I am not contacted by you within 24 hours of the auctions end I will assume you have no intentions of following through with the deal and I will offer the car to the next highest bidder or sell it elsewhere. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early should it sell before then. I also encourage offers during the auction. I may be interested in certain trades. If you have a C6 Corvette or a 2005-newer supercharged Mustang Saleen/Roush I may be interested. If you have something you want to trade and then put cash on top that would work too. GOOD LUCK! OVER THE LAST SIX MONTHS I HAVE PULLED THE MOTOR AND REPLACED ALL THE SEALS. I HAVE REPLACED THE ENTIRE CLUTCH SYSTEM. THE CAR HAS HAD A FULL TUNE UP (PLUGS, WIRES, POINTS ALL NEW). THE EXHAUST SYSTEM IS LIKE BRAND NEW. THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE IT DID WHEN IT CAME OFF THE SHOW ROOM FLOOR. THE FRAME IS ROCK SOLID AND THERE ARE NO ISSUES UNDER THE CAR. I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A LIFT BUT I WILL TAKE A UNDERCARRIAGE SHOT USING A JACK SO YOU CAN VIEW HOW CLEAN THE UNDERNEATH OF THIS CAR IS. THIS CAR IS WORTH EVERY PENNY IT IS GOING TO GO FOR AND THE BUYER WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. BID WITH CONFIDENCE. On Jul-18-12 at 13:59:05 PDT, seller added the following information: CORRECTION TO THE QUESTION I ANSWERED PREVIOUSLY ABOUT IF THE CAR HAS POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. THE CAR DOES HAVE POWER STEERING AND POWER DRUM BRAKES. IT HAS BOTH. THANKS.
