Vehicle Detail
The car you are bidding on is a 1936 Ford Rumble Seat Cabriolet. The milage I stated in the ad is 3,451, however that is what is on the re-built odometer after the engine re-build which was before I bought the car in 2006. The car starts quickly every time and is great on the road. When I first bought the car the rear end was a 4:11, however I changed that to a 3:54 several years ago which makes it great on the highway. We have made several trips around Texas in the car, the longest being about 500 miles. It has always gotten us home. The color is a dark brown and the top is in great condition. The car has always been garaged and I have a clear Texas title. I have added Skip water pumps which aids in cooling. The coil was also rebuilt by Skip. You will notice two different sets of hub caps on the car---they are both included with the sale---an original type set as well as the Spyders. About 4 years ago I installed all new wiring---front to rear. The horn is intermittent---honks sometime and the radio, while all there, doen't work. It does have the "under the running board" antenna. The windshield wiper motor is the correct type and has been re-built. The battery is only about 4 months old and is strong---turns the engine over quickly. The car still has the original mechanical brakes. I will be happy to answer any questions regarding the car and can get additional pictures if I don't show what you want to see. Your personal inspection is invited---I think you will be pleased. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. The car is located in Texas, about 40 miles north of Houston. We have enjoyed taking the car to local schools for kids to see and enjoy---shown in listing picture. A PayPal deposit of $1,000.00 to be paid upon completion of the auction and the balance to be a wire transfer. On Jul-12-12 at 10:24:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I have realized that in the original description that I did not mention that the fog lights do not work and are not hooked up. On the top of each fog light it says, "UNITY MFG. CO., CHICAGO, ILL. MADE IN USA, APPROVED PENNA, 1937". Also, as far as I know the glove box clock is all there but I have never tried to get it working or have it restored. Thanks
