No Reserve Auction$0.01 Starting Bid- Car will sell to the highest bidder - Bid with Confidence100% Feedback 100% of the Time Up for auction is a 2000 Audi A4 1.8L Turbo with Automatic Transmission with Shift from the wheel (Sports Wheel with shift buttons option). The car has approximately 192,000 miles and is going to need a few things. The Good:New AlternatorNew Timing BeltNew K04-1 Turbo (largest that will bolt to the factory manifold)Tires are in good shape a couple are only a year oldInterior is better than average for a car of it's ageAll electronics work as they should including the moon roofA/C blows coldTransmission shifts smooth The Bad:I bought the car not running because the previous owner told me the turbo had gone out on it. This made sense since it looked to be the original turbo. So, I bought a new K04 turbo upgrade for it and installed it. For you horsepower junkies, the new turbo has much better flow and should be good for 180+HP right now and capable of 300ish with larger injectors, higher boost, and a ECU flash. The old turbo was bad. The nut on the impeller was actually off the shaft! So, after installing the new turbo I put 4.5 quarts of Mobil 1 full synthetic in and topped of the coolant with antifreeze... turned the key, hoping for success... and what do you know the turbo wasn't the only problem. The car started right up but there is a hard tapping sound coming from the engine. I think the whole head needs to be rebuilt and I don't feel like having it done. So the car does fire on all cylinders but would not recommend running it at all! Hence the no reserve auction. For someone willing to do the work it should be a good little car. I figure it will be about $500 to have the head done and the book value of the car is around $3600-4700. So bid accordingly. I do have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. As always, all sales are final & car is sold "As Is." *** If the car auction goes over $2000 I will throw in a "3 bike" bike rack for the receiver hitch. *** Any questions, concerns, or if you want to look at the car in person call/text 9O3-9l8-4235 at a reasonable hour. I'm Central Standard Time. FYI - I am waiting for the title in the mail. It will be a clear Texas title for the buyer. Good Luck and Happy BiddingOn Jul-07-12 at 20:03:20 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple people have asked if I have had a mechanic look at it or an estimate written up for the repairs. The answer is no to both questions. I have no way to get it up to the shop and as bad as the engine sounds I don't want to even try and drive it or even start it. It will need work. Please don't think you will be able to fly in and drive it home. Please bid knowing that you will have to put some work into it before it is road worthy. Don't want to scare anyone away from it but want to be upfront with everyone. Thanks again, and happy bidding. On Jul-09-12 at 21:10:50 PDT, seller added the following information: There are several versions of the 1.8T 20V engine. This car come equipped with the "ATW" coded engine. Please keep in mind the car has almost 200,000 miles on it and though doing a head swap may get it running; with that many miles it is probably ready for another engine. If I were keeping it I would probably have a rebuilt engine put in, but, to each their own. Guess it always comes down to time and money. On Jul-10-12 at 22:49:01 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI - Item#320941924131 is a head that another eBay user had contacted me with. If anyone is interested in it.
