Up for sale by original owner is a very rare condition 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300 CD Coupe with the 5 Cylinder Turbocharged Diesel Engine. The car was in Nevada since brand new and was just last month transported to Illinois because the Original Owner moved here to retire with her family. The owner loves this car but it’s not in her retirement plans. I have seen several of these cars for sale on ebay but nothing with original owner, service records and incredible rust free condition! The reason for the buy now price can be seen in the pictures. This car has minor dings and scratches and some minor repairs needed but please consider the overall condition and lack of corrosion throughout this car. For a minimal investment you have an opportunity to make a mint condition restoration. I drove this car for the owner before listing and it drives beautiful. The brakes were the most impressive and the engine is 100 percent with no mechanical problems. All electronics including power windows, locks, cruise control, instrumentation works excellent except I noticed sometimes the tachometer stops working. The tires are in like brand new condition (95 Percent Tread). The steering is a bit loose and the steering wheel is off center a bit but the car drives straight and true. Some things I want to mention. 1) The drivers seat is missing the seat tilt adjuster knob. 2) The dash board has cracks from heat 3) The rear ashtray is missing 4) The steering is straight and true but a bit loose. 5) The car has some dings.
