1997 Mercedes Benz SL320 Hard Top ~ Soft Top 118k Miles NowUpForSale is this sharp 1997 Mercedes Benz SL320 Convertible with hardtop and only 118k miles. In overall impressive condition inside and out as you'll see in the photos this SL320 was enjoyed as a daily driver and well maintained. Due to a fire in the trunk area it is being sold "AS IS" IN NON OPERATING CONDITION although not as a salvage vehicle. The car retains a clean Alabama title. At the time of the fire the car was being driven and the quick thinking of a passerby with a fire extinguisher prevented any further damage. The car was still running with the ignition off so the breather was pulled off to kill the engine as you'll see in the photos. We're unable to confirm the condition or operation of the soft top with no power. Hard top has been stored in the garage for some time and is in excellent overall shape with the exception of the headliner material coming off near the front which I'm sure an upholstery shop can fix easily. The exterior has a rich shine, love the color; and looks great all the way around as does all the glass including that of the hartop. Wheels are all in great shape as are the tires, interior impressive too with only wear on the drivers seat and right around the power seat control as pictured. All of the features and options on the car were in proper working order at the time...cruise, power seats, power windows, power locks, AM/FM/Cass. 3.2 liter inline 6 running strong, transmission shifting smoothly. Miles are based on the oil change that had just been performed only a couple days before the incident which was about one month ago...late May, 2012.
