Vehicle Detail

I purchased this car about 8 years ago. The car was originally purchased in Portland, Oregon and has been in the Northwest ever since. It has new gorgeous dark gray/brown paint which includes painting of the engine compartment, trunk, door sills and wheels. The engine has been professionally rebuilt. The car has new glass, rubber and original type electrical harness and wiring. The front seat was completely reupholstered in new leather. The door panels and headliner are original and in great shape. The restoration was completed about 2,000 miles ago. You can tell this is a low mileage vehicle by how crisply the doors close shut and that the running boards are original and in great shape. Steering, handling and braking are all crisp like you would expect on a low mileage car. Everything on the car operates correctly and as it should including the original radio and clock. Please feel free to email or call with any questions. My phone is 541-517-4402 I have received a number of requests for the numbers off of the data plate that is in the engine compartment on the firewall. The numbers off of the data plate are as follows: Style No. 38-4427B Body No. C 352 Trim No. 400 Paint No. 520 It appears that the repaint on this car is either the original body / wheel color combination that originally came on the car, or very close to it. The paint code of 520 on the data plate corresponds to a Whistler Grey Metallic body color with Dante Red Silver wheels. Check out the 1938 Buick paint chips at: http://www.1937and1938buicks.com/1938-Articles/1938%20Paint%20Chips%20(Submitted%20by%20Brian%20DePouli).pdfOn Jul-03-12 at 08:07:22 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jul-03-12 at 12:59:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Just a few additional details from questions I have been getting: The clutch, transmission and rear end have absolutely no issues and the car shifts extremely smooth. I have added a picture of the trunk. In my opinion the repaint on the car is very high quality. The reflection is mirrorlike with no drips or orange peel. There are no dings, dents or rust. All the glass and rubber have been replaced at the time of the repaint and they look great. There are no cracks or yellowing etc. The car has an original type heater which looks and works great. It does not have a defroster. The bumpers have been rechromed. All of the brightwork is in excellent condition. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2007 by the same person who rebuilt my 1952 Special Straight 8 five years earlier. The rebuild included new rings, pistons, valves, springs, timing chain, oil pump, bearings and new hardened valve guides so it will run on unleaded gas. The cam, lifters, crankshaft and rods were reground / machined. I have the paperwork which, of course, the winning bidder will receive. Thanks for your interest!
