2000 BMW 528i SPORT WAGON 2000 BMW 528i SPORT WAGON We have owned this vehicle since November 2009 and put on about 25k miles. We have many vehicles and our mechanic thoroughly services and maintains all of them. I just had the computer scanned because of an ABS light on and it turned out to be a wheel speed sensor. So had that replaced and at the same time had a new valve cover gasket put in, plus an air conditioning blower resistor that was intermittently acting up. Now everything checks out fine. A/C blows ice cold. Tires are almost new. I'm always amazed how this car handles and performs in any weather. For a 2000, the interior is in above average condition. I put sheepskin covers on the front seats right after purchasing which come with the car. The driver side power seat works but is missing a button. I'm not big on detailing a car to get better sale pics. All I did was vacuumed the inside and hosed off the outside. The plastic covering on the front carpets were there when I bought it and I never bothered taking them out, just put my own floormats on top (floormats not included in car). The rear passenger side floor carpet has a drink spill stain which I didn't bother shampooing out. Also the back cargo carpet on one side has a stain which someone apparently tried to hide with detail paint. The outside paint and clearcoat is in very good shape other than a couple of very minor chips (I bought a touch up paint kit from the BMW dealer but never used it, will include it in the glovebox), with the exception of the front bumper. The previous owner had scraped the airdam on a parking stop and it had a small rip in the plastic so I had a whole new bumper put on but the body shop didn't do a great job and it has chipped on some edges as you can see, but the color matches perfectly so it's not very noticable. Once again, I personally think it's a great looking car for a 2000 with 145k miles and this body style makes the car look a lot newer than it really is. BMWs have great engines that last a really long time when maintained properly. I can attest to that as I have had many of them over the years. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, it runs great and it's smart looking. I'm only selling because we don't have room in the garage for it.
