Vehicle Detail

I bought this used in 1987 and have used it on my "hobby farm" since then until last year. We used it only in the summer and only to pull a small trailer and/or ride back through our woods. It has always been kept in my barn and been well maintained. Neither my wife nor I rode it fast (I am 79 and can't disclose my wife's age), but just used it to get around and haul picked up limbs and/or yard clippings and debris. It doesn’t have an odometer nor hour meter (nor a place for one), so I have no idea of the mileage or hours, but suspect the mileage is quite low considering the kind of use it had. Ebay requires a mileage so I gave my best estimate. The mileage stated is an estimate only. I changed the oil and filter regularly until this year, but haven't used it or changed the oil this year. I did start it and ran the gas out of it for storage last winter, but decided to sell it instead since we just didn't use it last summer, this summer, and only a bit the summer of 2010. It still starts (electric start) and runs beautifully. The gears change easily -- including reverse. The light works fine (it has the stock headlight that comes with an extension cord, so that it can be used as a work light). Only one tail light works, but I assume that the other needs only a bulb replacement. Since I don't use it at night and have never used it off my property, I really don't need the lights so didn't worry about them. The only defect that I know about is a missing piece of black trim on the right fender and a jagged edge at the bottom of that fender (see picture right fender & compare to left fender). The seat is in perfect condition except for one pencil eraser size depression (not a tear) near the top. To the best of my knowledge, it is stock in every respect except the battery. When I first bought it, I used it to spray my grapes and wanted more battery power. I removed the tiny storage box under the rear racks (can't remember where I put it) and had a battery holder made that fit that same place, but will accommodate an automobile battery (see picture). They are cheaper and last much longer when spraying. It has a factory trailer hitch which, I believe, was standard. I still have the manual and it, too, is in good shape. This unit is, I believe, truly a collector item. It would be best if the buyer picks this unit up. At any rate, the successful bidder will be responsible for shipping costs and arrangements within the USA. I will help with what I can.
