Vehicle Detail
This is my daily driver. I have been keeping up on it and making progress, but got busy at work and have no time. What this baby needs is someone with more time than money. It runs and drives strong, better than most of the e32's I've test driven. It bugs me that things need to get fixed and seeing as I don't have the hours to put into it, it drives me mad. This is a straightforward car to work on and between youtube, bimmerforums and the factroy service cd i'm throwing in, it makes the projects manageable. I just don't have the hours. Here is what still could use to get done: *Fix three windows (both passenger and rear driver side) Driver window and sunroof works fine. *Change a few lightbulbs in instrument cluster. Mainly odometer and fuel guage.(Spare bulbs included) *A/c, worked when charged and leaked. I never charged it back up. *Blower sword. Blower works on high only. All the vents work the way they should. *Passenger side idler arm bushing. Just bought new tires to match the new ones in back, but couldn't get them aligned because of a slight jiggle (Idler arm bushings included). Alignment isn't too bad as is. *Tube leaking oil by valve cover. * Steering box leak (The hydraulic system holds alot so I add maybe 1/2 qt per month) * Leak by oilpan (not sure were from. Looks worse than it is because it's maybe 1/2qt every two months) * Broken fog lamp * The car has been repainted and the finish is a mild orange peal. Could use wet sanding and clear, or never mind. It doesn't look that bad. * The wheels could use to get repainted (About a quart of paint and hardner were leftover from the paintjob for this) *The muffler has a small hole by the tailpipe so I never was going to do anything about that. This car sounds nice. * The winshield washer pump has a leaky grommet and leaks washer fluid when filled beyond the lower tank I don't want to scare you just being honest. I have driven a few and people always make them out better than they are. I'd like you pleasantly suprised instead of disappointed. So here's some more defects that you might look for in the pictures: * Besides orange peel, there are a few fish-eyes by the hood badge and drip on the hood. There is also a small run by the lisence plate. * The rear seat belts have a hard time clicking and the passenger side rear seat belt dipenser cover doesn't want to snap in place. * I didn't paint some spot putty by passenger door from plastic fixit. * 3 doors and a spot inside the trunk gutter are showing some rust on inside. (Pictured) * I switched lanes at the bank drive thru and nicked the freshly painted bumper. (Did I mention I have paint left over?) * The drivers door power lock doesn't work. * SRS light on all the time, anti-lock on some time. Okay I think that's it. The doors "thunk" closed nicely. The stereo works nice but I haven't used the cd, you have to take off the face and I never did that. Please ask any questions. I've tried to list all the bad, everything else should work, I don't want to express any guarantee though, this car is being sold as-is. I can pick-up at O'Hare airport in Chicago, I don't see a reason it couldn't drive anywhere.
