Vehicle Detail
I am selling this for a friend of mine who cant do the ebay thing, so Ill do my best to describe this vehicle accuratly as ive been informed. This is a great running Ford Galaxie that need a little TLC.Great for restoration, needing just small stuff, or just drive it as is.Some work that has been done recently is it has new brake shoes and wheel cylinders. The gas tank was removed and acid washed and has new fuel lines.Front seat and dash look pretty good. The carb was rebuilt. The things it needs are a speedometer cable, as the speedometer dosent work. The headliner is ripped and sagging a little. The rear seat needs rehupolstering but currently looks good with a flag cover over it .It needs window seals and a front windshield. There is a little rust along the passenger side rear panel and the paint is looking bad on the front right panel and part of the door .Overall its in good driving condition , but if you want it right youd have to put a little time and money into it, but what a awsome antique car it would make.It has the origional 289, 8 cylinder, 3 speed on the collar, and its ready to drive now.Tires dont match, but has all origional hub caps.If you want to personally ask questions my friends name is Jerry and his # is 731-614-seven 468 .If you post a question to me I will have to call and ask him so it might take a bit to get back with a answer.I will add some pictures of interior tomorrow evening. I am located in Lexington, TN, right between Memphis and Nashville, and only 20 miles west of Jackson, off I40On Jun-26-12 at 17:15:41 PDT, seller added the following information: OK, ive uploaded some pictures of the interior, and I have a couple more things i learned. The car has also got a new brake master cylinder and fuel pump. The back door behind the driver door dosent want to open, and owner dosent know how to fix this. Also he reported to me today that the metal interior rim on the steering wheel that you push to blow the horn has a broken clip which made it fall off. This looked like it just needed a small part to fix.The metal horn rim itself isnt broken, just a small removable clip behind it has a broken tab.I also noticed a bit of white smoke coming out of the exhaust when it first started up, but it went away shortly after running a couple minutes. Im not trying to get you to not buy this car, but just trying to mention as many details as i can as my reputation is on the line selling this for my buddy.Obviously there is no way to mention every quirk, so im going to have to say this is being sold as a as is fixer upper.Ive described everything to the best of my knowledge. My feedback has always been 100% positive for over 10 years,so please keep all this in mind.Sorry description is so long.On Jun-30-12 at 17:12:20 PDT, seller added the following information: when the auction is over I will require a $250 good faith down payment thru paypal, until the vehicle is picked up, and paid in full.I will send a invoice and expect prompt payment please. Then You will need to arrange pick up as soon as possible, preferably in under 2 weeks.I appreciate all the bids and good luck!!!!!!
