Up for bids is a 1977 Pontiac firebird espirit.I just do not have room to store it or time to re paint it.It has been customized.Front end is off a 1978 trans am.It had a V6 from the factory,but now It has a rebuilt small block V8 chevy engine.42,500 miles on engine.engine was completely rebuilt years ago.It is a 1973 307 V8 .030 over short block -easy on fuel- fuel saver camshaft was installed and built stock.cylinder heads and top end are off a 1978 305 small block chevy-.The carburetor is a remanufactured 2 barreI.Engine can be bored into a 327 with cylinders bored out more .I have had the turbo 350 transmission rebuilt and it has 5,000 miles on the rebuild.This car gets 18-20 miles per gallon when I drive it.dual exhaust was replaced 5 years ago-sound nice-turbo mufflers -not loud type. complete all new brakes ,master cylinder ,wheel cylinders,wheel calipers and brake lines 5 years ago.brake booster was replaced 8 years ago also.Steering box was replaced with quicker ratio about 9 years ago.alternator replaced 6 years ago. Car was a 4 speed once but was converted to an automatic at some point.160 mph speedometer.dash out of trans am.car starts and runs excellent.Car drives straight and handles really nice.Tires are 60's all around.oil pressure and amp gauge need replaced.fuel gauge quit working.fuel gauge used to work and now quit reading right. passenger side frame rail is ready for repair or replacement.photo took of bad spot.It was rusted when I bought the car in 1985 ,but I have drove it anyway.I have drove it some every year and the put it back in storage.Feel free to come and inspect the car and hear it run before you bid.call for appointment or questions 608-648-2496-Jim
