1999 mercury cougar for sale by owner in zip 40486. White w/ gold flake in the paint. The Goods New tires (less than 100 miles) I know I wouldn't want to put tires on a car I just bought, so I thought it would be a good idea to replace them. They are NEXEN. Newer Paint, painted in the summer of 2011. When purchased the paint was peeling and suffered from oxidation. I changed the color from green to white. Newer CD player, bought in summer of 2011 also. Its a Sony and includes a remote. It currently is not hooked up to the radio due to it not coming with the cord to hook it up to the antenna. This is a 5 dollar part. CD player plays great though. Is got AUX and USB hookup on the front. Very nice overall car would be a great first time car or commute car. It get approx 25mpg average. I have took a few 5 hour trips from KY to IN which is mainly interstate and the car gets around 29-30mpg. All four struts and brakes where replaced in the fall of 2011. Oil was changed around 500 miles ago and have always been up to date. Air and heat both work very good. New battery fall of 2011 The Bad There is a tear in the driver side seat in the leather. The rest of the seats are in great shape for a 99. The rear hatch lift support does not work. These are 20$ a piece the last I checked. I have not bothered to replace these since I use the car mainly to commute. The sunroof doesn't work. It hasn't worked since I purchased it. I assume the motor is messed up since it doesn't make any noise at all when you hit the button to move it back, but I honestly have never had it looked at. It doesn't leak and that's what is important to me. The service engine soon light is on and it takes a second or 2 to start the car sometimes. We had it hooked up at autozone and it is the EGR sensor it was close to 45$ once again this is a minor thing so I haven't bothered fixing it. There are a few very small dings in the paint. A couple next to the hood are the ones that I noticed the most while washing it, but for the most part the paint is immaculate. I have put 20k miles on this car in the last year and half and had no major problems at all. I used it mainly to commute as I have another Truck. Due to the fact of buying another vehicle cheaper on gas I am ready to let this go. I think this car will make a very good car for someone and it has a lot of life left. This is a no reserve auction. The car must be picked up in TYNER, KY. Arrangement can be made to pickup after purchase. The car will have to be picked up either of the evening or on the weekend due to my work schedule. I do have the title in hand IT IS REBUILT (not sure why, it was this way when I purchased it). There is no Lien on the title. You can see it a little bit in the pictures. Once again it was like this when I bought it and haven't bothered fixing it. Also there is no spare tire included, the one with the car when I purchased it was busted and I went to put a tire on the rim and the rim was bent.
