I have a 64 GTO that I have been restoring for the last few months. It is a matching #s car. The engine is a 389 78XW. Original engine with wide ratio muncie 4 speed. The car came with 3:23 single leg which has been upgraded to a limited slip rear end. I had the engine rebuilt and balanced 1 month ago. It has maybe 20 miles on the engine.I have a picture of the receipt from the machine shop. Also the car is registered and clear title as well.This is a rust free car only needing paint to finish with a little detail. Here are more things I've done to the car. The interior has been completly done with seat covers and foam buns,door panels, carpet, package tray and headliner.A new clutch has been installed and flywheel turned.All the things needed in the front end have been replaced.Everything in the brakes have been done,shoes,turned drums, wheel cylinders and spring kits.No money has been spared up to this point. Ive taken this car to a couple of local car show and drives like a new 64. Very tight ridding car. These matching number gto's are getting harder to find.
