Unrestored original 1982 Mustang GT 22,100 original miles. 3 owners. Original paint, original interior and original trx wheels and tires. Original exhaust. Full documentation----window sticker, bill of sale, order sheet from dealer, finance contract, check receipt from bank to dealer and build sheet. Also have factory T-roof sunvisor sleeve and starting instruction sleeve. Owners manual is still in factory envelope. Still have original key tags from the dealer as well. Car looks and runs very nicely. Engine was tuned up with a new Motorcraft cap, rotor and ASF 42 spark plugs. Timing was checked and set at the 12 degree factory setting per the emissions label. A new air filter was installed as well a a new breather element. Radiator was drained and refilled with fresh coolant. The valve cover gaskets were replaced as well. The A/C was refilled with R-134 but all R-12 fittings were left on the car. The system was evacuated and checked for leaks- none found. It was then refilled with the correct oil and refrigerant using adapters on the R-12 fittings. It blows very cold. The original headliner was sagging over rear seat and was replaced professionally using the correct NOS Ford material. The hatch striker has been replaced with NOS Ford and the door strikers are new as well. A new old stock hood insulation was installed on the car. The car has also had the lower radiator hose replaced, water pump replaced, 1 heater hose and bypass hose replaced and the original Motorcraft carb rebuilt once in the past 30 years. In 1990 the second owner cut out the front trim piece of the hood scoop. I still have the original trim piece for the scoop. The rear main seal leaks a small amount. The options on the window sticker are T-roof, Recaro seats, interval wipers, axle traction-lok, louvers, TRX suspension, tilt wheel, leather steering wheel, speed control, rear defroster, a/c, premium sound, lower body side protection, battery- heavy duty, power windows, tinted glass, protection group appearance, light group and lock group. The protection group consists of front floor mats (d9zz), rear plate frame and the chrome protection strips seen on the sides of both doors. All of those items are still on the car. The car shows and drives awesome. The paint doesn't have a 30 year old patina, but a new car shine. It has been hand glazed and waxed, never mechanically polished. Factory orange peel still present. The paint is simply spectacular. This car has been enthusiast owned for 30 years. It is very, very nice. I have the original want ad classified magazine with a picture of the car from when the second owner purchased car. I had the car inspected by an MCA - Mustang Club of America 1979-1993 gold card judge prior to my purchase. I have put 900-1000 miles on the car this Spring driving to various Mustang related events. The car received 2nd place at the Carlisle All Ford Nationals the first weekend in June in the stock 1979-1986 class. This was a popular vote car show. The car was parked next to an 8,000 mile 1985 GT that did not place. When this car leaves my possession it will be ready to go into a collection with no detailing.
