1980 Porsche 911 SC Sunroof CoupeUp for auction today is another spectacular find. A 1980 Porsche 911 SC Sunroof Coupe. It has documented low miles of just 82,935. It has enough of the "Sport" options that I would consider it to be a "Sport Package" but without a certificate of authenticity I can't be totally sure. It has the obvious tail and chin strap. The sport seats and the darkened emblems.. I don't know how to tell if it has the limited slip rear end, but my instincts tell me it does. It also has paint to match Fuchs reminiscent of the Weissach editions. This is a really nice car. First and foremost let me state for the record that there is ZERO RUST. There is a tiny bit of rust colored oxidation under the battery, but nothing bumpy. I just gave the car a full service including belts and plugs and coil and brakes all around and new tires I used synthetic oil and all Porsche recomended parts. I had them fix anything they found mechanically. The engine purrs.. It does not leak a drop of oil. It does not smoke at all, ever. The car runs and drives like new. There are still a few cosmetic issues that could be done to make this Porsche pristine. The Sport Seats have been dyed and look fine but are not as supple as I wish they were. The blonde carpet is tired and could be changed out for not a lot of money. The headliner has a few small tears around the sunroof.. The A/C compressor is missing. The tachometer is not working and I don't know why. Other than that its ready to go. The paint is excellent. As always I am setting the reserve low and expect the car to sell the first go around.
