Vehicle Detail

HISTORY The car was bought new at Sullivan Porsche Audi of Ann Arbor, Michigan. It was ordered a rare color called Olive. Paint code number 414.The original owners sold it to a doctor in 1985. The doctor sold to it to a man in the Detroit area in 1998. This man worked for General Motors and was a certified mechanic. His job was to maintain GM's collection of cars. At the time GM had over 500 vehicles in their collection. Some were Porsches, in fact he told me GM bought a brand new Porsche 959 for the collection. He kept the car in excellent condition. CONDITION VIN 9113103376 ENGINE 6135991 COLOR 414 OLIVE The car is in very good mechanical condition. Brakes, engine, lights, transmission, and overall mechanics are good. Tires are new Dunlop (P205 60R15). The Fuchs are matching to the car. The radio, headliner, door pockets, door panels, and most of the interior is original. Matching numbers car, very well taken care of with some original paint in door jams, trunk and engine bay. Tinted glass, 5 speed manual transmission, "S" package, non-sun roof, and Blaupunkt radio. All original decals are still on the engine bay area. Highly original condition not a restored car. New Bilstein shocks, tune up, shifting bushings, and overhaul of injection system this year.Autos International of San Diego, CA did the seats in correct German "Hounds Tooth". The windows are not cracked. The car has the rare wheel well trim rings. There is no rust, all pans, rockers, and battery boxes seem good. Door closes with the Porsche "ping" sound. Just a very nice overall car. Please note the car has the original Olive paint on the interior pans and looks like the original undercoating, so many older 911's have been modified or repaired and painted black. The car has never been raced. PURCHASE AGREEMENT I have a clear title to the car. I am selling because of too many cars and running out of storage. This car is the best of the "long hoods". It's called a 1973 1/2 and has the reliable CIS engine used for over 10 years. The color makes the car very collectible. The car is described to the best of my knowledge, but there could be errors in the description. I recommend a PPI or seeing the car in person. Willing to help in shipping by being available for the truck carriers, but the buyer is totally responsible to make the arrangements. I am selling the car as-is and with no warranty. There is a $1,000 deposit to the winner and its not refundable under any circumstances. On Jun-11-12 at 14:26:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I PERFER NOT TO SELL TO SOMEONE IN EUROPE, IF IT IS THAT PERSON MUST HAVE A GOOD EBAY RECORD AND MONEY MUST CLEAR MY BANK BEFORE TITLE TO CAR IS REALEASED.On Jun-12-12 at 12:07:16 PDT, seller added the following information: People have asked about the bottom of the doors. The door bottoms have weep holes for water drainage and one hole is a little discolored but not any rust. Asked about the paint job, from what I can research the second owner about 20 years ago had some respray from kids bikes and stuff that hit the car. To me the paint shows patina and is respectable at close range, but with time, there are stone chips on hood, behind and below rear wheel wells, and minor areas. As stated above, for a show car you want to get a high dollar paint job later. It's not a concours car, it's original and unrestored. What is nice, is how the paint in the trunk and bay area show factory paint. Most people know these Porsches were painted as a tub before assembly. So a good car will show all these areas to be painted in the original color.
