The original cost of this bus was $15735. These buses are becoming very hard to find. The engine is the original factory 1.9 Liter 4-cylinder fuel injected motor, with a 4-speed manual transmission. The bus runs and drives great, shifts smoothly between all the gears with a tight clutch that grabs towards the top. Not a single drop of oil is leaking. No engine noise. The front disc brakes stop this bus quickly and smoothly. This bus was special ordered in a dove blue clearcoat metallic with silver two-tone accents and blue velour interior. This bus has all factory body and gap fit with laser straight panels. The exterior is also finished with a red pin-stripe. 15-inch period correct Mercedes alloy wheels with great rubber were added to finish off the new look. This bus comes with dual rear side slider windows, with roof mounted fresh air vents, flow through ventilation system with front and rear heaters. This bus is in unbelievable condition, well cared for, adult driven, non-smoker. The original window sticker indicates that the sunroof was optional. It's a massive 42" by 45" opening. With it open, you can see the entire universe while rolling down the road. Originial Chrome front and rear bumpers, that have just a few imperfections due to it's age. There is also a small ding in the backside of the driver-side door as seen in the photos. The interior is the original blue velour cloth and shows very little wear if any, with fold down arm rests in the middle row. The middle seat tilts forward to allow acces to the rear bench. The factory wall-to-wall carpet are in excellent shape that are also blue in color. The full padded headliner is in great shape with just a few small marks. Door panels are in excellent condition, as is the crack free dash, steering wheel, clear instrument cluster and working digital clock. All the gauges work including the water temp gauge. The rear window defogger is also functional. The front vent windows open and close and are water tight. This bus was ordered with 4-speaker radio preperation meaning it came with no radio, just speakers. All the windows are original, factory tinted, clear and crack free. This bus was also ordered with the Rear Windows Wiper/Washer system. It's hard to find a local rust free bus like this that hasn't been abused or molested. The original steel wheels come with the bus as well. Take a look at the original window sticker, books and records photographed, they all come with this bus. It's been in Portland Oregon all of it's life, where we have no salt on the roads means a rust free ride. It was sold new in Gresham Volkswagen as noted on the window sticker. 1985 VW Vanagon GL 7-Passenger Wagon

Take a look at this retro 85 VW Vanagon GL with a huge factory sunroof. The original cost of this bus was $15735. These buses are becoming very hard to find.

The engine is the original factory 1.9 Liter 4-cylinder fuel injected motor, with a 4-speed manual transmission. The bus runs and drives great, shifts smoothly between all the gears with a tight clutch that grabs towards the top. Not a single drop of oil is leaking. No engine noise.

The front disc brakes stop this bus quickly and smoothly.

This bus was special ordered in a dove blue clearcoat metallic with silver two-tone accents and blue velour interior.

This bus has all factory body and gap fit with laser straight panels. The exterior is also finished with a red pin-stripe. 15-inch period correct Mercedes alloy wheels with great rubber were added to finish off the new look.

This bus comes with dual rear side slider windows, with roof mounted fresh air vents, flow through ventilation system with front and rear heaters. This bus is in unbelievable condition, well cared for, adult driven, non-smoker.

The original window sticker indicates that the sunroof was optional. It's a massive 42" by 45" opening. With it open, you can see the entire universe while rolling down the road.

Originial Chrome front and rear bumpers, that have just a few imperfections due to it's age. There is also a small ding in the backside of the driver-side door as seen in the photos.

The interior is the original blue velour cloth and shows very little wear if any, with fold down arm rests in the middle row. The middle seat tilts forward to allow acces to the rear bench. The factory wall-to-wall carpet are in excellent shape that are also blue in color. The full padded headliner is in great shape with just a few small marks.

Door panels are in excellent condition, as is the crack free dash, steering wheel, clear instrument cluster and working digital clock. All the gauges work including the water temp gauge. The rear window defogger is also functional. The front vent windows open and close and are water tight. This bus was ordered with 4-speaker radio preperation meaning it came with no radio, just speakers.

All the windows are original, factory tinted, clear and crack free. This bus was also ordered with the Rear Windows Wiper/Washer system.

It's hard to find a local rust free bus like this that hasn't been abused or molested. The original steel wheels come with the bus as well.

Take a look at the original window sticker, books and records photographed, they all come with this bus. It's been in Portland Oregon all of it's life, where we have no salt on the roads means a rust free ride. It was sold new in Gresham Volkswagen as noted on the window sticker.
