Hello,you are looking at a 1978 Mercedes Benz 450SL convertible with 66k miles,,car was driven very few hundred miles since past 4 years,,mechanically is very healthy and runs great,engine is smooth and transmission shifts as it should,both hard top and soft top are in nice and fair condition,i believe the soft top has been replaced few years ago,the car is wearing it's original factory paint in most of the car and the paint do show its age(cracked),there are no major damage or dent but regular scratches here and there so if you want to make the car perfect then you need to paint the car .inside is super nice as you see in the pictures,there are no rips or any damage inside ,Ac works but i beleive it needs service as it wont make you cold but it is a convertible ,put the top down and you have healthier AC.:-)Stereo is not hooked up and i have not had the time to take it to stereo shop to have them hook it up,i bought this original Mercedes stereo from Ebay but don't know if it works or not,it is a $35.00 installation fee to hook it up,speakers are nice and they do work,,,,,,this is a Classic car with low miles that might need little TLC to make it perfect or drive it as it is .the car is register until aug of this year and it did pass the California Emission test smog check and it is ready to be transfer to the next owner,by the way the car has 4 Brand new BFGOODRICH tires on it .Please look at the pictures very carefully and ask me any question you have before placing your bid,it is a 35 years old classic car and not perfect,please come and inspect it yourself or hire a third party to do it for you ,i am selling the car as is with a no reserve auction,so last bidder owns the car,if you are not ready to buy the car please don't bid,if you have less than 10 feedback you must email me first and then bid on the car ,if not your bid will be cancelled,i demand a $500.00 none refundable deposit after the auction ends and the rest with in 5 business day,,i can help you find a best rate for shipping anywhere you want,,again please ask questions and don't assume anything ,everyone has different opinion about things and this is my personal opinion in regard to condition of this car,i am not a mechanic nor expert so please come and check it out yourself,thank you and good luck. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************* On Jun-12-12 at 23:42:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I got few questions about the dashboard,,,the dash has few cracks ,you can buy a dash cap here on ebay same color as the original for 100.00 dollars,,there are no rust on the car,,AC don't work,,thank you all.
