Vehicle Detail

This is my 1996 Honda Civic. I rebuilt the engine about 7,000 miles ago everything runs fine and good. During the rebuild I replaced everything expect the connecting rods. The cylinder head had brand new valves installed with springs. The valve seats were ground down to match with the valves. I preformed a cylinder head leak test no leak. I replaced all the valve stem seals. The entire cylinder head is rebuilt with good parts. I replaced the cam with a (camp cam) with just stock replacement lobes. The cam shaft seal was replaced along with the distributor seal. The car will also come with a used distributor. The engine has new pistons 9.4 to 1 compression rings, new crankshaft bearings, new oil pump gasket set, new front seal, new rear seal, new timing belt, and a new water pump. It also has a newer battery in about one year old. It has two brand new tires on the front and rear tires have good tread left. I only bought the front tires for better traction. It has a new passenger side cv shaft. I replaced all the fluids, power steering (Honda power steering fluid with lucas oil), I replaced the clutch fluid, I also replaced the transmission fluid (Honda manual transmission fluid). I replaced the throw out bearing and pilot bearing, I had the flywheel re-surfaced, and the clutch is a $220 ceramic clutch and pressure plate. The power windows work, power locks work, the power sunroof works. the only damage to the car is on the front bumper it looks like someone backed into it. The car has never left me stranded anywhere. The reason I am selling the vehicle is solely for cash for a bigger car. Most cars with this amount of miles you have to worry about head gasket out, timing belts, other major engine issues, not to worry with this it has a brand new gaskets in the engine all the way around. Extra peace of mind. I should say that I am a mechanic. I do have a degree and this isn't my first engine overhaul it's more like my 40th or 50th. So far I have not had any bad luck with engines I have rebuilt. More about the car. The upper ac line use to leak so i replaced it had the ac system done. It has worked fine for the last 2 years since I did that. All the power equipment works doors, windows, sunroof, etc... It has 4 good tires in fact the front two tires are brand new (only around 800 miles on them) and they are good year tires. Before I bought the car the dealership had put in two back struts and steering alignment. The battery is maybe a year in a half old. It has a brand new knock sensor. $150. So like i sad you can take a gamble on another one and risk the timing belt or head gasket on it which will cost about $400-$750 taking it in. May have to buy a set of $300 dollar tires for another one, to be honest you may need to throw 100 at a battery on others later one may need to throw 150 for cv shafts, mine is solid lots of new items has never left me stranded anywhere. I have taken the car on long trips before longest about 3,200 miles round trip. I do not see any major issues with the car I had the brakes done last year at a good year shop when I was out of town. The interior is in good shape. The exterior is in good shape other than the front bumper which I left it in the parking lot and came out and it just looked like someone with a hitch backed into it. To fix it yourself it would only cost $120 to find a used bumper matching paint. I also have projection head lights I had got for the car if your interested Maybe you could buy those as well. I baby all my cars I run valvoline oil. synthetic oil and filter run up to 10,000 miles. I always changed at 8,000 miles. Since the rebuild I have sent in one oil sample. It came back good. Which means no bearings are rubbing the cam is lubricated everything metal is lubricated that should be. This car is more solid than others. I did not buy it as a ricer car I bought it as an economy car. So I drive it for MPG. If I do not sell it this time through I will just keep the car and have it as a back up. The car was valued at $3200 for the work done to the vehicle. So other hondas maybe cheaper, but remember this car has over $1200 worth of parts. If Included labor It would be over $4000. This is what makes my car worth more. Thanks for reading
