Vehicle Detail

2000 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 Kompressor Roadster Convertible - 75,809 miles (mileage will be slightly higher at time of sale due to car being occasionally driver) - Clean title - Automatic transmission - Retractable hardtop convertible - Obsidian Metallic Black paint with two-tone charcoal/oyster leather interior - 2.3L Supercharged I4 engine - Rated 22 city/30 hwy MPG - 6 CD Changer I have owned this car for just over a year. I am in a position where I need the money and don’t drive the car enough to justify keeping. It has been garage kept since I bought the car. The car runs and drives excellent with no major problems. Very clean and very fun. There are a few minor issues with the car that I intended to fix when I bought, but have not had the time to work on. My loss is your gain. Known Problems: All 4 tires could use replacing, tread is fair on all 4, but the tires are showing signs of dry-rot. The driver side door and trunk locks are not functioning. The volume knob for the stereo is partially stripped. There is a tear in the passenger seat. The windshield washer does not function. The car recently developed a very slow oil leak, appears to be coming from the top of the oil pan although it is difficult to tell. There is a latch or sensor that is bad on the trunk for the retractable top. When the top is up, an alert will sound for the retractable top if the car has been sitting for a while or after several minutes of driving, especially on bumpy roads. If you cycle the top it will go away temporarily (usually several minutes, sometimes up several days). The alert usually doesn’t sound when the top is down. The paint on the wheels has some chipping and peeling that did not show up in the pictures. As far as the history of the car, I am unsure of the number of previous owners. I bought it from a gentleman in Minnesota who told me he bought it from a dealer and the car had spent most of its life in Florida. I was told at some point it was involved in a front/side collision, but I do not know to what extent, however the car was repaired has a clean title. At 70,000 miles front brakes and rotors were replaced. Oil and filter were also changed at that time with a Mobil 1 full synthetic that is guaranteed for 15,000 miles. Both rear actuators for the retractable top have been rebuilt since I purchased the car.A deposit of $750 USD is due via paypal within 48 hours of sale of vehicle. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping or pick up of car. I will do everything reasonable to make sure shipping goes smoothly. Also, I may be willing to take a weekend and deliver the car depending on location of buyer for reasonable fee. Contact to see if something would work out. I attempted to be through and present the car to the best of my ability. I encourage the buyer to view the car in person and test drive before purchasing. The car does not come with a warranty.eBay limits the number of pictures to 24. I have many more pictures available upon request. Thank you for looking at my ad and feel free to ask any questions.
