Vehicle Detail

For Sale : 1970 Pontiac Lemans Convertible. This car has been in the process of restoration, but I am moving, so I need to sell. This car is a perfect candidate for restoration: The frame has no rust at all, body panels have some surface rust, but should not need replacement. I liked this car when I bought it as I could drive it while I restored it. Car can be driven locally, but I would not recommend a long drive until it gets a quick tune up. I'm pricing this to sell, so let me know if you have any questions, or would like to look at it. I'm moving on the 15th, so this car will be sold by then. I'm traveling this week, but feel free to any questions you have and I'll do the best I can to answer. If you are thinking about shipping the car, I can assist with drop off for truck transportation: Engine: The engine has been rebuilt - new heads, headers, valves, newer exhaust etc... I have all the receipts from this work - it was done locally, and every nut and bolt have been documented. The cylinders have a mild bore - to 370 ci. The car runs perfectly. Downside: Manual choke, and 650 cfm carburetor. HP estimate is somewhere around 375. Transmission/rear end/brakes - The Transmission and rear end have both been serviced and work well. I just noticed a small transmission leak, and this is most likely a loose nut or a gasket. The rear end is perfect, but the gears aren't built for speed. This is most likely a 3:23 rear end? The brakes are not power brakes. They require a firm foot! I think I'd add the power booster at some point! Interior: The interior is good from far. The drivers seat has a cut in the front. Its the original foam. There is new carpet. The dash has working gauges - oil, speedo, temp, etc...there is one cracked bezel. Body Hood has oxidation on it, but very little rust (some at the very edges) Fenders are solid and virtually rust free. Quarters are solid, but it looks like one side (drivers - see pic) has been previously bondo'd and has cracked. Car had been repainted before. There was a restoration done on this about 8 years ago, but I don't think it was done very well. The trunk lid has several areas of surface rust that should be cleaned up professionally. The inside of the trunk like was repaired, but there doesn't look to be serious rust there. (see pic). Top:Its a power top convertible that had been working until I broke one of the hoses. New hose = power top. The top itself is fine, but if you wanted to do a serious restoration, you would most likely want to do a new one. Frame: SOLID. No worries here. No rust at all. Bumpers:Front bumper is rust free, but needs rechroming. I have the eggshell inserts. Rear bumper was stripped and primered. I was going to paint this body color. Extras: I have plenty of extras: new interior door panels, extra parts etc... THANKS!
